One of my favorite go to lunch places. It's always fresh, cooked right and affordable.
I've tried here twice. Different dishes each time and very spread out time wise. Each time the food was just...bland? It's okay,... the food is always hot and seems about as fresh as you can get in a joint like this. I just don't like the food. Read more
My favorite Chinese restaurant! Always a treat! Try it out... Crispy chicken chow mein.
Service was quick (order ready when I walked in), friendly, and got me exactly what I wanted. Unlike some other Chinese... restaurants, this food felt more real! The orange chicken actually had oranges, the cabbage in the egg roll was crunchy, etc. Atthese prices, with this service, this should be your destination for Chinese takeout in this part of Des Moines! I should alsonote that when they ran out of soup, they substituted me an extra order of egg rolls at no cost. Huge shout out to the cashierwho both (a) remember the name of the guy in line after me and (b) talked with me while I waited for my order. Such small thingstotally enhance the customer experience! First time trying this place, Absolutely delicious! We ordered Sweet & Sour chicken-great flavor and breaded to perfection,... peppers, onions and carrots perfectly cooked. Also ordered combination lo mein- wonderful flavor, alot of shrimp, chicken andbeef. Side order of egg rolls- FABULOUS!! Each meal came with crab rangoons- ours has specks of filling so was disappointedabout that. However, we will forsure be back. 5 ???? The food here is always spectacular. I am very happy that I can order online now. Makes the whole process smoother and easier.... The Generals chicken, Chicken Lo Mein and crab Rangoon are our go to dishes but we have tried most of the menu and it was allgood. Read more
The main course was very fresh and tasted good. There were lots of menu options just not a special value option. The crab... Rangoon was mainly cream cheese so not recommended. The hot tea was just a tea bag. I would expect dining in to have realplates since Covid isn't a big restriction now. The restaurant seemed clean and the help was authentic and friendly and thefood was good quality and fresh which overrode any negative. Read more
