Qt I'd NY first choice for gas station/convenience store, and definitely #1 in fountain soda!
Didn't even buy gas but wanted a good cuppa decaf Joe. Problem with brew (piss weak and full of grounds). Last made a new pot... straight away. Cashier gave it to me on the house. This is the second time this QuikTrip staff has gone above and beyond forsomeone with a long drive ahead,and late at night. Good, honest and wonderfully Iowan friendly service. Thanks! Read more
Great place. Quick and simple. Many pumps and always cleaned up. They usually have food in the prep areas or in the coolers that... is good for a quick bite to eat. Don't have to worry about junk food cause they do have healthy options there as well. The checkout lines never take long to walk through as they are always moving and keeping people happy. The fountain drink machines arealways clean and stocked well. At ms work well and sometimes go down but they are fixed quick. Read more
Went in and bought beer and bottle of wine for later. Also bought some cheap chicken noodles for sick wife. Employee ringing... me up looked at my purchase and said "eating good tonight I see!" Was a condescending tone and wrong. Just because I like the79 cent noodles and buy beer doesn't mean I am wasting money on alcohol instead of food. Lost a customer today Read more
One of our favorite gas stations specifically for gas. Somehow they maintain lower gas prices than most surrounding gas... stations. They've got a pretty good selection of food and a very large selection of fountain and frozen drinks. I have tosubtract one star because the corn dogs are disgusting. . . and also not corn dogs. They're actually pig-in-a-blankets andthey're usually hard and taste bad. I also have to subtract a star because we ordered a large pizza and didn't realize that youget a free 2-litter of coke with it and none of the workers informed us of this promotion. We also ordered a pretzel that theydidn't give us until we reminded them, and we had also ordered dips that we didn't realize we didn't get until we got home.WATCH OUT for the Iowa State Fair traffic. Their new location is a much needed improvement in comparison to their previous building. The increased traffic over the years... made the old store tired. They are currently demolishing the fueling islands at this time (February 2015), so the conveniencestore is open only. QuikTrip provides a consistent experience with their Gen3 store format, offering a broader sales floor andmore fresh items and fountain selections. QT easily thwomps the competition, in my opinion.
