Best Vietnamese pho noodle and Bun Bo Hue in town.
I've been wanting to come here since I moved to the area 2 years ago. Let me tell you...It was worth the wait! I had heard about... this place from co-workers and locals alike. They did not steer me wrong! Food came out extremely fast and was still properlymade. The flavor explosion I got from each dish awakened my senses. Honestly, I live for noodle soups and I am now so obsessedwith their Pnomh Penh Noodle Soup. Visit Des Moines for the first time and we were looking for a good Vietnamese restaurant. Most of the Vietnamese restaurants... here just sell Pho. This restaurant serves a lot of other soups and more authentic soups! The wings were big and juicy. Thesoups were flavorful and had the right ingredients! I was surprised at the quality of food here especially by the Pho. Overall the food I purchased here was good and... satisfying. Pho: 8.5/10. Pho here is definitely better than average. Strong mild beef flavor, clear broth, darker rich colorbroth, I can taste and smell the aromatics, and broth balance was very good. Bun Cao: 7/10. Tasted fine. Nothing special. BoKho:7.5/10. Good beefy flavor. Some of the meat portions were cut incorrectly, when I bite into it, the meat was too long andbig to chew. Baggett was perfect. Eggroll: 8/10. Good. Spring roll: 7.5/10. Pho 515 is back! And the place looks amazing after they remodeled it. The soups are way better this time around. The flavors... were on point! Service is a lot better, way quicker than before. Our apps and entrées were timed perfectly. And of course theveggies are super fresh since it?s located right inside of C-Fresh. So you can do your grocery shopping right after. Yummy Vietnamese food inside a supermarket! This restaurant is situated inside the supermarket. This restaurant also sells... roasted duck, pork, and Boba. We can?t wait to come back and try more food! I highly recommend trying this place if you are inthe area. Very close to Drake University. Read more
