One of the best and one of the first steak houses in dsm that serves up consistently delicious food. Onion rings are always hand... battered and salad dressings still made in house. Absolutely the best steaks on Ingersoll ave. Read more

The food was delicious-- creamy Parm dressing and croutons were amazing. The London Broil was just as delicious. Service was... quick to take our order and quick to get our salads out. The atmosphere is a dimly lit vibe with some dated finishes. Read more

Waitress was rude, cold, and impatient. My partner ordered shrimp and I ordered a rare steak. The shrimp tasted like Long John... Silver's and the steak was burnt. While we were eating, a literal homeless person came wandering through the restaurant and wasasking us for food. We were at the back of the restaurant and she made it that far and no one bothered to stop her, and shecontinued wandering for a while before any employees did anything about it. The manager came by and asked how things were, wetold him how poor our experience was and he basically shrugged it off. I will never come here again in my life. Read more

My partner and I decided to go for a nice dinner and we decided to go here. We were sat down, no mention of any specials or... specific items they were out of. When it was time to order i asked for lobster and waitress looked at me dumbfounded and saidthey had none like I was supposed to figure that out on my own. I then ordered extremely mediocre shrimp and my partner ordereda rare steak. He received a well done steak, but we are not the type to complain so we took it for what it was. What reallybothered me is in the middle of our dinner was when a homeless person came up to our table, and harassed my partner for some ofhis steak and me for a piece of shrimp. I look around and while the owner made his rounds earlier i felt he took a blind eye toher and let her roam around the restaurant asking people for food. If I am paying for a high priced meal I expect the experienceto be up to par with prices. The owner came back at the end of our meal, mind you no mention of the homeless person, and askedwhat we were doing after dinner. I expressed to him that I didn?t appreciate the uninvited guest to our table but he did notseem to care or bat an eye about our experience. Absolutely will never be going back again. Read more

Wonderful service and got treated like family even though it was my family's first time. The filet mignon, New York strip and... the ribeye were all phenomenal. 100% recommend if you're ever in Des Moines. Read more

A group of 6 of us ate at Jesse?s last night for a birthday outing. None of us had ever been before and wow we were blown away.... The food was amazing (my ribeye was cooked to perfection & the cajun shrimp was to die for). Dee Dee was our waitress & providedtop notch service. Marty checked in from time to time to make sure we felt at home. We will be returning as soon as we can! Read more

Our first time at Jesse Embers was AMAZING! Got right in to a table on at Saturday which was great! The cajun chicken with the... warm bread-delicious! Steak was so tender and juicy, chicken parm as their pasta special-so tasty. Blackened salmon (nopicture)-incredible. We will be back sooner than later! Read more
