My husband and I live in West Des Moines. I haven't been in a decade, my hubs, never. The service was out of this world, no... exaggeration. Haliah who was the MOST PATIENT with our takeout and questions, along with Stevie, the manger who was the BEST!!The food was a big fat chef's kiss!! Been driving by Hilltop for years and seeing their sign advertising the Saturday Prime Rib...tonight we finally went by for... dinner. The meal was delicious. The service was wonderful. Amanda was very attentive. Didn't bother to ask what the specialPrime Rib Dinner cost before I ordered 2 servings. Finished and got the check......WOWZA. Let's just say we'll be back to checkout more of the menu but we'll probably skip the Prime Rib. Overall it was a great meal and experience..just a little priceythis time. Read more
Pizza is not what it use to be. Price way to high now $26.75 for a large. 3 topping very little and I mean little sausage some... pieces had none. 1 or 2 on others and way too much cheese made it very chewy. Won't be back. Read more
I went in and ate for the first time. My server Isabella was amazing. All the staff were welcoming and interacted with myself... and my baby boy. Drinks were amazing and the food was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. We will definitely be back!!!! Read more
5/28/2021. Happened to be in the area hadn't been here for +40 years and stopped to see if it was as good as I remembered. On... my, it didn't disappoint. Italian Beef and Sausage sandwich with onion rings. Food was absolutely wonderful and our server wastop notch. Bottom line, this place is still amazing. Read more
My wife and I went here for the first time with another couple. There are definitely some high points but also some low ones... with our dining experience. We started the night by being greeted by a very friendly hostess and then seated immediately. Thewaitress came right away and took our drink order and gave us a few minutes to look over the menu. She returned promptly withthe drinks and then gave us some suggestions around the appetizers. The one suggestion we took was on the Italian Egg rolls andI am glad we did. They were very good. The marinara is a little to chunky for my liking but the taste is good. I would orderthem again, we also got an order of onion rings. We asked to get some ranch, as they make it from scratch, but it was verythick and had a very strong mayonnaise flavor. We then ordered our entrees, we got 2 cavatellis, fettuccine alfredo with crispychicken, and a buffalo chicken sandwich. Each entrees comes with a side and we choose salads to which we got parmesan dressingto go with it, way better than the ranch. No one liked the cavatelli as it had a very strong cardamom flavor and they thoughtit was to spicy to eat. My buffalo chicken sandwich was good but the highlight of the night was the fettuccine alfredo. Everyone in my party agrees and it was probably this restaurant's saving grace, that and the Italian Egg rolls. I will be backto give this place another chance and fettuccine alfredo. Read more
