Finally got a chance to try The Pasta Shop here at Denville and it did not disappoint. Inside was very cozy and staff were all... polite and friendly. The 90min wait really just turned out to be less than 30mins and we were so glad! It was a pleasure to haveVictor today who helped us with our orders. He was very attentive and prompt. We started off the Garlic bread which was verynicely done despite the oiliness. Bread was toasted well. We also got the Rigatoni alla vodka which had nice thick sauce. Iveadded peas and prosciutto for some color and added flavor which turned out great. Portion was very generous too. Our favoritewas the Pappardelle Bolognese though. Pasta was perfectly cooked and soaked up all those delicious flavors! I can see why a lotof patrons order this. They also have wonderful specials but we?ll probably try those some other time. Simply the best. My husband and I came came back from Italy and we were craving authentic pasta! We didn't have to go farther... than our local Denville downtown The Pasta Shop. Roy, Joanna and the rest of the crew are fantastic. Their seasonal menuallows you to sample some of the wonderful dishes this place has to offer! My personal favorite is the linguini with white clamsauce. Grab your favorite bottle of vino and head to this gem. This place never disappoints! Read more
One of my favorite restaurants in Denville! We order take-our from here often, but it?s always a treat when we are able to snag... a table in the restaurant! The service, atmosphere, and food are all phenomenal, and everything on the menu is perfection. Wealways start with the mozzarella sticks (the best ever), but decided to try the tater tots and garlic bread ? DIVINE! The pastais always hot, fresh, and delicious. You?ll be sad once you get the the last bite. Desserts are also not to be missed. Again,you must try everything and you will agree. If dine-in isn?t available to you, take out is just as great! If the wait is long, the takeout is amazing too! There are picnic benches right outside. The rigatoni allá vodka was incredible... and all the staff were friendly and welcoming. I wish I was staying in the area longer so I could go back! Read more
What an amazing experience. While part of me wants to dock them for the absolute PAIN it was to dine with them, the experience... itself trumps all else. (For those trying to get in, you will need to be local because you physically have to go there to putyour name on their list. Call ahead and ask when their busy times are and about when you should come by. They?ll put your nameon a call list and text you with a 15 minutes lead time when your table is ready. They told us about 2 hours and they were readyfor us in about 1 hour 10 mins). Now on to the good stuff! What a bang for your buck. For three of us, we got FOUR appetizersand THREE entrees and it was a total of $109. WOW! Not just the price but the quality. So without further ado- Appetizers: Meatballs (4) - filling while being light and fluffy. Amazing flavor where you just want to keep dunking in thered sauce and hope you never run out. Mozzarella sticks (5) - these are a restaurant favorite that were highly recommended. Theywere as expected but absolutely wonderful and a table fav. Lemon and Black Pepper Caesar Salad - WOW. Yes actually wow to asalad. Perfect balance of all the flavors - sour (but not too tart), salty (but not overly), crunchy, not overly dressed, andtrust me. Get the sardines (don?t fret, there are only two). *Special* Cacio e Pepe Tater Tots - large portion, super rich butnot in an overwhelming way. For those of us that couldn?t finish the whole dish, they reheat well too! Entrees: (remember thisIS a pasta shop) Rigatoni alla Vodka - add the prosciutto and peas. Plus, since they had bucatini, I was able to swap in placeof the rigatoni. WHAT A DISH. I ate and ate and ate, and it was as if I hadn?t eaten anything. For those who love a great vodkasauce and are hungry, this dish is for you. Pappardelle Bolognese- classic, flavorful, great dish. Phenomenal food, excellent service, worth the wait. Some of the best Italian I?ve ever had and the limited offering tots were... amazing. Good sized portions that may give you some leftovers, too. A real high quality restaurant. BYOB but they do sell localbottles! If you could go for an early dinner (3pm or so), you may not need to wait at all, but otherwise come prepared to putyour name down and come back later in the evening. Read more

Amazing food, amazing place, amazing service, and when they say it?s fresh?trust them! The pasta is fresh! The picture and the... words I?ll use to describe the taste doesn?t really help.
