Found the location in Google and my friends that live in the area said they hadn't been but heard the food was great. We got... there and waited about 30 mins. It was worth the wait! I had Marian's Favorite omelet and the hubby had Uncle John's Biscuit &Gravy Platter. I was not expecting the biscuit to be so big and fluffy... definitely homemade. The sausage gravy was excellentas well. I did taste a little sweet something qith the biscuit and gravy which was a twist, but still very good my omeletlooked like all egg, which I like, versus when milk gets added. We also got Mimosas. They bring the mixer part in the glass witha small bottle of Prosecco. Our bill would have been much cheaper had we not had 2 each... yum! I have recently retired to the Lake Norman and we go out for breakfast at least 5 times a week. I am always on the look out for... the "BEST" breakfast in the Lake Norman area. Today we visited the Citrus Diner in Denver, NC. We defintley will be back. After a couple more visits, it may become my #1 breakfast spot in the Lake Norman area . Huevos Rancheros-- excellent. Chickenfried steak--- Perfect. Crisp bacon. Orange juice squeezed fresh on site. Large assortment of fruit drinks. Coffee was good,hot, regualrly refreshed. Plus, a GREAT server! Read more
My husband and I came here for the first time today, and it?s our new favorite breakfast place! It looked really busy so we... figured we?d pull in and try it, the wait was only about 20 minutes, you wait in your car and they text you. The menu is verywell put together and everything sounded amazing. I started with the banana bread latte and it was one of the best lattes ever,it came with a cinnamon stick that added great flavor. For food I got the Heuvos Rancheros and it was better than any other I?veever had. I can?t wait to go back and try their whole menu. Warning - Rude "Management" and Double Dipping "Tips" when you place the order on their website... Placed an order online for... breakfast as we currently are remodeling our kitchen and cant cook. After placing the order I noticed that the online system wasasking/collecting a Tip along with Server Gratuity Fee. I just assumed it was a glitch and would resolve it at the restaurant -no biggie. WRONG... When I inquired I was immediately greeted with a condescending woman that would not let me even fully ask myquestion and interjected "now let me speak". 1st of all that is rude and not how you should speak to any customer especially inthese times as you have many competitors literally across or down the street. Once I realized I was out almost $15.00 in serverfees I just accepted it and wanted my food which was ready when I walked in. The "manager" ( don't feel she was the real managerhence the " 's) informed me that she would bring it right out. I saw it already packaged and already past the promised time sothought it was a COVID precaution so people aren't standing around. Well 12 min later annoyed I walk back in to find it stillsitting in the same spot that it was when I left and I asked how much longer she sighed and handed it to me like it was sodifficult. I don't understand how you can treat a customer like this... especially one that spent $58.78 on two breakfast meals( sadly were very good so disappointing that their staff is this way), Prosecco, and a quart of OJ - which is $12.00 by the way(I'd skip next time - not worth the squeeze - literally lol)!!! Went with the Mrs. the flavors are great. Will definitely be back. The cinnamon roll pancake is good but the pineapple upside... down pancakes that the Mrs. got are way better. Read more
I?m not from around here, just visiting. My wife has been having a difficult time finding some amazing biscuits & gravy. Well,... I?m very pleased to report that her search is over. She LOVED her biscuits & gravy! I ordered the meat lovers omelet withpotatoes and a side pancake. It was very good. Our server was very friendly and great! Come on out and support Citrus theDiner! When you eat out often it's exciting to find a Diner like this one. A great menu! Great unigue selection! A staff that obviously... enjoys their jobs.. And you won't leave hungry. The Slushies alone are worth going! I recommend Strawberry ???? Pineapple ????and add Ginger...yummmm! Read more
