Reviews for Woodgrain Bagel & Deli in Denver, CO
I ordered online with a quote 15 minute wait, but after placing the order i received confirmation to pick up the order 50... minutes later. When I arrived at the state time, my bagel was cold and was plain rather than the everything bagel I ordered.Additionally, it's a $1.50 up charge for flavored cream cheese instead of plain and as you can see from the photo there ishardly any cream cheese at all on the bagel. I called for a refund due to the wrong bagel type being served, but it has yet tobe issued. Read more
The bagels here are great, especially for Denver. They are Montreal-style, which gives them extra points in my book. Everyone... knows NYC style is overrated, the secret is they just add lots of cream cheese, hardly a cooking marvel. Montreal style isactually impressive and the taste backs it up. The potatoes here are literally the best in the city. Go here just for thepastrami and the potatoes of any prep method. Read more
I never leave reviews but man I had to with this one. To say this meal is disrespectful is a complete understatement. Worst... ?Reuben? I?ve ever tasted in my life. The meat is NOT edible. Burnt to a crisp and leathery. Takes me 2 minutes to chew a tinybite. DISGUSTED. No sauerkraut, and only 5-6 potatoes. Do not order from this establishment. Get better cooks, do something..this is absolutely pathetic. I paid good money for this garbage. If I could give 0 starts I COULD. Read more
Delicious bagels that definitely seem more Montreal style with the crusty outside and chewy inside, smaller form. We got the... "Brooklyn" with lox, cream cheese, capers, onions and tomatoes. Pretty darn good. Plenty of fish, served open face and with lotsof capers. Price was close to $13 which was not optimal but they made up for it with the generous portions. I think one of theseis enough for two people as well. Read more
We were trying to go to Rosenberg's bagels but I think for some reason when we typed in the address it brought us here. We... didn't want to drive to go look for a different spot so we decided to stop in and order breakfast. I'm assuming they make theirbagels fresh because I saw some wood fire type of stove as soon as you walk in pretty cool looking spot. Pretty good breakfastspot if you're in the area I recommend trying the tomato basil soup It was pretty earthy. Read more

The bagels are apparently Montreal-style, although it?s unclear if they *quite* meet that criteria. But regardless, they are... unique and tasty, if a bit on the dense side. It can get a little busy and crowded on Saturday mornings but they usually keepthings moving along well. (They did forget to toast and butter one of my half-dozen bagels on a particularly busy morning but Idon?t really hold it against them.) Read more
We got a dozen for delivery and they gave us the bagels that are misshapen and did not rise. Also we learned the mandatory... service charge goes to ?restaurant expenses? instead of staff. Why open a restaurant if you need to cut corners by sending outsub par bakes and not want to pay for restaurant fees out of the profit. Seems shady to me. Gonna just start making my ownbagels. Rosenbergs and this spot are both shady Read more
