I?ve been here a handful of times now, and there is a very apparent care for how they treat their food, customers, and... co-workers. The menu is an open, collaborative collection of dishes from many people who work there and care about what they?reproducing. I went on a date here and sat at the bar (Preferred method of dining for my date and I. Sue us.) Throughout theevening we could pick up on side banter behind the bar and at one point the bartender (Dominic I believe?) asked if we liked thenew item, a fried tofu with a vinegary, peppery, sweet relish. We both agreed it was amazing and the guy who created the dishwas standing there in the background. His face lit up with a big smile acknowledging that diners loved his food. Anyway, it?srare moments like that combined with the whole package that keeps people coming back. Fantastic food. Quality, caring people.Great ambiance. Local feel. A+ Read more

We were excited to try this place after seeing the reviews but it just didn?t hit the spot. We were a group of 6 and all agreed... that the food was mediocre at best. We couldn?t believed they served burnt bread and the presentation of dishes was bad. Atleast the service was quick and attentive. Read more

Exceptional food. Unique menu, paired with a wonderful and broad variety of wines. I would give this restaurant a Michelin star... if I could. Try the scallops with creamed corn; Fabulous! Wonderful service and fresh ingredients! Read more

Wonderful meal, loaded with flavor. Beef carpaccio is layered with so many flavors & textures. Oysters were completely polar... opposite from each other - east coast oysters were little & sweet. West coast oysters were savory and meaty. The oysters had alovely presentation with a delicious topping selection. Staff was great at accommodating my dietary needs. Scallops were cookedwith the perfect sear, I really loved the veggies, but I think the oyster mushrooms should leave the dish. My husband said thewagyu beef meatballs, were rich in flavor. He would have liked a few more gnocchi on the dish. The house made bread & freshbutter he said was good. Bonus: There is off street parking after 5pm. Read more

Excellent! Must add to your list of favorites! I stopped in at 6:30 on Friday night. I love to dine alone at the bar when trying... a place for the first time. I get to see & hear a lot of what happens in a place that way? Bar staff immediately said hello andintroduced themselves to me. Offered me menus and gave me an overview of what they offer. Very friendly & good energy. Iordered a glass of Rosé | Bread w/ Cultured Butter | Beets & Farm Greens Salad | Gnocchi w/ Wagyu Meatballs | Butter Cake w/lemon curd & strawberry jam. (other ingredients in all dishes not listed) This was the best meal I have had in years.Thoughtfully created, lovingly prepared, and beautifully presented. The restaurant is in a great little neighborhood, has awonderful vibe, kind and friendly staff. Feels like hanging with your good friends at your local spot. Read more

We enjoyed our dinner here last night. Next time I would skip the hamachi. The tables are super close together so if you are... looking for a more intimate setting this isn't your place. Food and cocktails were tasty. Read more

Had the pleasure of dining here last evening, it was busy, it was bustling, and it was absolutely fantastic. We are foodies, and... take trips to major cities around the world for the sole purpose of food tours. I watched a few interviews with the executivechef (Amos), and we said, let?s go try it, the menu looks great? And we are so glad we did. From the Bread Service to dessert, every bite was incredible. Farm to table freshness, with gorgeous plating, and flavor profiles to die for, we loved it all. Isaw the executive chef occasionally walking around as we dined, watching, listening to people?s reaction to his food, andbriefly made eye contact, he nodded hello, and asked how the food was. I told him I had seen him on YouTube earlier that day,and that it was one of the best meals we had eaten in Denver. He introduced himself, chat with us briefly, thanked us for comingin, and went back to work. We loved The Fifth String, and will be making it a staple in our go to places here in Denver. Mywife and I highly recommend, from A La carte to pre-fixe, you can?t go wrong. Read more

Really fantastic experience and beautiful atmosphere. Chef Amos highlights each ingredient beautifully. The prix fixe is very... reasonably priced at $60; I can?t recommend the scallop and corn dish enough! Delicious cocktails, especially the ?Yuzu EnjoyMyself.? The staff was very friendly and extremely professional. Will be back again and again. Read more
