It was between this or star kitchen. Been to star and wanted to try this place. Friendly service, food is decent but maybe... because we went there later than dim sum rush so some Of the dim sum l were kind of old. Lobster noodle was just okay, it’sstill lobster but the seasoning and flavor didn’t highlight the dish. Read more
I wouldn't call it Star Kitchen but unfortunately they were closed. There is a little bit of an inferiority issue with the food... I'm not going to lie like I'm sorry. I can't give you five stars. I really want to. The pot sticker dough was extremely thickand I found it to be pretty gross thankfully my 10-year-old daughter doesn't have discerning tastes so she liked it haha. Thestuffed mushrooms weren't very good and that's one of my favorite dishes but it was poorly cooked very tough and chewymushrooms. The stuffed eggplant was delicious. I love the braised ribs and the duck is always worth having. The egg custard bunswere on point. That is my favorite dessert. And of course everything is complimented so well by the jasmine tea that I can neverget enough of haha. I thought that their Daiquiri was not very good and my daughter wanted a virgin at least they gave me $2 offsince there's no alcohol but an $8 sweet drink for a kid is pretty crazy still. Also when I was boxing everything up thebarbecue pork buns got soaked and my husband was clearly upset and annoyed and most restaurants when you're spending around $200would give you some new pork buns but I guess not here they're like that sucks bummer. To be fair the person that was at ourtable seem to be like a chicken with his head cut off and he had never served in his life or like even imagined serving I guess. When I tried to give him the credit card to pay you could tell he was so flustered like I don't know what to do with this wellthen go give it to someone who does my goodness. And I guess since we had a child they seated us next to the only other familywith children in this huge restaurant and the kids were screaming the whole entire meal. Like I don't know we spent a lot ofmoney I just felt like it was a pretty mediocre experience for that much money and I really wish Star Kitchen had been open. Read more
This is one of our favorite delivery places. Food is always great. Love the dim sum too. Dumplings are always amazing and... fresh. Read more
The best dim sum experience I've ever had. The food was wonderful, especially the steam bbq pork buns, but the staff really made... the experience. I have visited other dim sum restaurants and I can say the Empress staff is wonderful, attentive and alwaystakes the time to explain the dish. The pricing is also great! We spent $60 for 2 people and we added duck and the house soup!It was great and I can't wait to return. Read more

For a further refined review: 3.5/5. So as an explanation - I tried a variety of their chicken + rice meals (sesame and orange)... as well as their dim sum menu. Chicken and rice meals are awesome. I compare this stuff to Panda as it is the gold standard3/5 quality Americanized Chinese food. Empress’ options for orange chicken and sesame chicken are step above and I’lldefinitely be coming back for these! The Dim sum is definitely not great in my opinion though (2.5/5). It is very cheap whichis great, but overall not super flavorful and of high quality imo. I got 3 different plates and none of them I would considergood, just passable personally. It does at least come out very hot though. I don’t know the name of it, but I wish theycarried that thick soy sauce-esque sauce that other dim sum restaurants have, it’s definitely my favorite. I would come herefor the chicken and rice meals - super great and can’t wait to come back! Read more
