Best 30th birthday of my life. Partner got squid ink pasta with crab, I got Maine Lobster and we tried 2 desserts. Easily some... of the best food I've ever had. It was complex and pretty, but pretty approachable. Going in, I didn't really know whatanything on the menu was. Even by reading it, really. My second server was very accommodating and helpful. I did feel some sortof way, because the host asked if we were going to a haunted house, and we weren't and when we said no, it was a little awkward.It wasn't until she walked away that I realized that it was probably a comment on our outfits? Stopped by for lunch, did the two course lunch menu and a drink. The food was fantastic (eat the bread!). My friend had some... dietary restrictions and the server was attentive and careful to note which menu items would work for my friend. All in all,great experience, I'm going to be back to try dinner sometime if I can snag a reservation. Read more
Tavernetta is right next to Union Station and in a happening area of Downtown. They staff were super friendly, welcoming, and... helpful. The food was good although the portions were smaller than I would have hoped for. (I guess it's typical of thefancier restaurants.) Prices were on the higher side ranging into the triple digits. Very high end feel inside, it was everything we hoped for and more. The cocktails were very aromatic and had great flavors. We... got the buratta and the salad, both phenomenal choices. It has been a very long time since I have experienced a restaurant with amazing quality of service and comfort. When you walk... into this restaurant you immediately get a sense of the owner's attention to the minute detail to enhance your diningexperience. As you walk through, you see the different ample settings for walk in versus reservation. The lighting and the decoris great. And if you walk far enough to your seating, you get to experience the organized kitchen staff and the efficiency asthey execute their orders. The wait staff are educated on the menu items and are very professional. The senior staff are apleasure to listen to for in depth knowledge of the food and wine offerings. The dining experience in my opinion is pure joywith a very simple and small menu and specials. This restaurant will be seeing me again. Just fantastic. Read more
I wanted the food to be better but it was a good walk-in experience. We did not have a reservation and our party of 2 was seated... at the community table. The service was pretty good. Everyone was attentive. They aren't doing the outdoor seating at thispoint. Overall good atmosphere and decent food. Read more
Just wow... what a delightful and delicious experience! The service was amazing. Scallop Crudo, amazing ????! The atmosphere,... also amazing. Though they were busy, our dinner date for two was still an intimate experience because of the layout they havecreated in this restaurant. Beautiful space and delicious food. The portions are small but every bite is amazing. My favorite was the Rigatoni, so... flavorful. You can really taste the freshness of the house made pasta.
