Reviews for Sushi Umi in Denver, CO
Great sushi, Happy hour is the time to go! Karrage was a little bland for the cost but sauce was amazing.
Great food and service but not so much to justify the price. Just a few items from the menu and I was already in ~$60. Would... have preferred a sushi /sashimi dinner combo but this included only salad or soup, and the chef selection was lacking. Read more
We happened to go for happy hour, which now we know is Monday through Saturday from 1 to 5. They have $5 and $10 specials on... specific sushi rolls. We had The Angry Dragon, the Miami Heat and the Godzilla. They were all so delicious. As far as the MiamiHeat with the green chili, to die for. The Godzilla, if you like crunchy as I do this was delicious. Not to mention, the foodlooked beautiful. Julius was our server and he was very kind and attentive. Read more

I'm sadly writing a one star review of this new restaurant, which is shocking because it's nearly a 5-star restaurant on Google.... We were in the mood for more/less healthy lunch and were in the mood for teriyaki and a sushi roll. Was excited to find this newrestaurant. Ordered takeout, the gentleman on the phone was friendly, polite, and prompt with our order. This bad review comesfrom the quality of the food. We ordered lunch portions of chicken hibachi and beef bowl with side salads and two sushiroles. When we both opened the containers the first thing we noticed was the pale/stale color 9f the meet. My chicken. Was cutinto odd shapes, rubbery, dry, not fresh tasting. The vegetables were darn near brown and soggy. The beef was shredded tooblivion and was also dry. We looked at the sushi roles. The spicy tuna was mashed together, rubbery, dry, rice mushy and cold. They didn't seem freshly made at all, where fresh rolls tend to be delicate and almost fall apart when you eat them. These rollswere one solid round dry mush. The unagi roll was bland. Our stomachs turned sour and we no longer trusted the safety of thisfood. The side salad was simply bagged lettuce with a side dressing. Our meal cost $60 in total, and all that was edible wasthe rice that came in the meals. I'm sorry for such a critical review, but this food was not edible. It has the appearance oflast night's leftovers, for real. I wish this place luck in the future. Read more
Always amazing food! I live close by and come all the time and it’s consistently yummy. Very laid back staff, come to relax... and enjoy. Everyone is always very nice. We love the boyfriend roll, amigo roll, and pictured is the scallop roll. We always getfried gyoza, miso soup, and a seaweed salad. My partner and I want to get their sushi boat next when we’re really hungry ???? Read more
Really fantastic experience, took the wife here to celebrate graduating radiology! Everyone was friendly, Sandra our server was... super patient and gave us stellar suggestions since we weren’t sure what to try to get. Calamari is fire especially if you arelike my wife and don’t like the tentacles. Sushi roll wise, I suggest the fire in the house fried roll, and also the umispecial which I was hesitant at first because I don’t like mango….. buuuuuut with a little convincing I had it and now is onmy top 5 favorite roll lists.
