Pulled pork platter was fantastic! Fried pickles were breaded very lightly, crunchy and fresh! Tangy sauce FTW!
We kept hearing good things about this place and were excited to try because it?s a short distance from our house.. First time,... didn?t know what to expect, but the taste and quality delivered on all the hype. We enjoyed it so much, we tried it again withinthe week. However, knowing what to expect now, the 2nd time was very underwhelming! There was a few things wrong with the food,but the most disappointing was the ribs were very tough that we couldn?t eat them. A truly fantastic BBQ experience. The staff was so friendly and kind. They understood celiac and what items are gluten free! All... the meats and sauces are gluten free. We ordered the Dave?s triple and got the pulled pork, Texas brisket and the St. Louisribs. For sides we ordered the collard greens, smashed potatoes and the red beans and rice. You will find moist and tender BBQ at Smokin' Dave's. The sides are proportions enough to savor and my date could also taste. ... Beans were good of course but also both the Cold Slaw and Potato Salad were tasty. That's why they got all 5 stars. We tookhome a jar of Carolina Sweet Mustard sauce because it gave us mouth burns. One of my favorite BBQ places in the Denver area. Everything is always cooked to perfection, and the staff is always friendly.... You can't go wrong with anything you order. I frequently order the platters when I go with friends and for $45 it feeds 2-3people easily! Read more
There was only one waitress so the wait to order was a little long. However, the food and her amazing service made up for... it! My husband and I loved everything we ordered.
