I?ve been skeptical going to seafood places since I?m originally from So Cal I?m use to fresh seafood but this... place DID NOT DISAPPOINT! we ordered the brown butter lobster roll, the fancy roll, fried clams, friend shrimp, lobster slidersand clam chowder. Let me tell you they were delicious! I?ve been to many places here in northern Colorado and a lot of placesdon?t season their food. So had to have a lobster roll! Just one of those cravings. Showed up here fast service but roll was $25. I get we in Colorado... but damn. I guess my expectations may have been to high. 06/2022 Nice place to eat (indoor or outdoor). This place pick up fresh lobster from the airport I think 4 times a week. You... can tell that it is fresh, not chewy like Red Lobster. I been to Maine and had plenty of lobsters there. It is not the same but,better than any big place I been too in Colorado. They know how to cook their lobster. Enjoyed the clam chowder, good flavor,consistency and not too much potatoes. Well done. It is pricey, but worth it. I could have more but with that price, and theamount of serving hmmmm?..???? I used to go up to Maine to visit my Aunt and Uncle, although I look forward to seeing them, I secretly would always look... forward (a little more) to run to our favorite seafood spot for some magnificent Steamer Clams, Haddock, Lobster Rolls, andcreamy Clam Chowder that is actually filled with clams and not just some flour and cream. Since they both have passed, I amhappy to discover (thanks to Google) Maine Shack here in Denver! Thank God!! I am thoroughly impressed! The Haddock was cookedto perfection, the Steamer Clams were succulent and not over cooked, the Chowder was fabulous. Remember if you don?t know how toeat Steamer Clams, first ya gotta peel the blackish skin off of it, then ya gotta dunk it in warm water cups (2 cups) provided;dunk it in up/down/circular motion to get sand out, then in another cup dunk it again. First cup is to get most of the sand outand the second is final dunk. You?ll get a tad of sand in your mouth but that?s ok, we?ve all ate dirt when we were kids! I had the triple sliders all very good. We also had a Maine roll. Really tasty. Not as big of a roll as their East coast... brethren. Decent amount of the meat for the bread. Toasted bun. Decent selection of beers. Fries and slaw are very good! Wewill be back. Read more
