In town visiting and looked this place up. My husband is Jamaican so he would know if food was going to be good... Unfortunately... it was Soo gross!!! We ordered and then she rushed out basically since they close at 7 but we were there at 6:00, food came at6:30! Not complaining about the wait but rushing people out is another thing! Glad we tasted or barley tasted the food before weleft! We didn't want to make a big deal there, so we just left. The vegetables were horrible, my Curry shrimp was not curryshrimp! Seems like some kind of hot sauce was over the shrimp to make it spicy, I can do better than that! My husband had theGoat and it was saturated in goat sauce, and was horrible! We ended up getting a bag and got back to the hotel and threw it out,and went to cheesecake factory! What a waste of $48!! Never again! This place has fallen off tremendously. I have frequented this place since it?s inception. I tried give this place the benefit... of doubt based on its historical output of great meals I have enjoyed over the years. I have supported this establishmentthrough the pandemic have brought family and friends here and promoted /recommended this place to every coworker. My last threemeals have been straight trash! I can understand a reduction in portions because they were generous, but I can not overlook thedegraded quality of the food. Not sure if there is a new cook in the last year or more but the food is not the same. It is notabout the portion of the food. It is about the quality of it. This place was so, so good. We went today & had Jerk Chicken, Fried Barbie Chicken & Oxtails, all spicy, with Plantains, cabbage... & potato salad as sides. Literally everything was the best in Denver, hands down, & my boyfriend made it a point to let themknow the fried chicken was the best he's ever had. All the meat was tender and juicy, the gravy on the oxtails was delicious,the spicy was actually spicy (hard to find in Denver sometimes & we love it HOT!), and the plantains.... my goodness. On top ofthe great food, the service was awesome. Super sweet, real folk working here. Man... do yourself a favor and stop by. Bring cashto tip with- they deserve it! 10/10 recommend. I am visiting from out of town and was in the mood for some Jamaican food. I ordered the red snapper with cabbage, to go, and... was extremely disappointed with what I got. I have never received cabbage with frozen mixed vegetables in it before. (I knowthat they were frozen because the man at the restaurant told me they were frozen). I was also grossed out by the restaurantworker who was picking things up from off the floor with the same gloves he was wearing to bring me my food, and possiblyprepare the food. 10/10 I do not recommend based on my red snapper order and what I saw when picking up my food.
