Yummy! We had just finished a tough day of moving and it was late and we were starving! Although we showed up to the... restaurant within a half hour of their closing time, they were gracious and welcoming and prepared a fantastic meal. Greatflavor and super fresh vegetables, a must for Chinese food, in my opinion. Dining area and kitchen very clean. Read more

This place is delicious! We?ve enjoyed every menu item but the egg drop/hot and sour soups (just not our favorite). It?s a... little more expensive than other Chinese restaurants in the area and portion sizes are a bit smaller, so we don?t get food hereas much as we would like, but it?s definitely our favorite when we can swing it. Super delicious food! Well worth it! And the waiter was really friendly! All-together, a great experience! I had the mango... chicken, and it was phenomenal! My wife got the orange chicken, and it was delicious too! Great restaurant, and the proportionswere really good for the price! Read more

The most underrated Chinese restaurant I've ever been to. I'm from the East coast and I constantly miss good Chinese food, until... now. If you're looking for amazing mom and pop shop Chinese food, look no further. There's nothing else to add - it's great.I've picked up food from Golden Plate multiple times, and they are consistent. People are not kidding when they say the sesame pockets are fantastic. The savory pork hash stuffed into those almost too hot... sesame pockets tasted so amazingly good! Also got the honey walnut shrimp and you should not pass up on it. The shrimp was sonice and plump and the mayo with walnuts added to each bite was just too wonderful. The Kung Pao chicken was also very good, ittasted different, but so much better than many other Kung Pao chicken dishes I have had in the past. The sauce was much tastierand the vegetables were actually cooked/seasoned well. The servers/owners (?) were also very prompt and nice, can't wait tovisit again and try something new (definitely getting the pockets again though)! Update (7-8-2022): Tried their chicken andbroccoli, paired with a brown sauce, and it was very tasty! Golden Plate II puts their own spin on the flavor, but it works verywell for both the chicken and vegetables. Also tried their sesame shrimp, which was lightly breaded, garnished with crispywhite noodles, and swimming in a savory sauce. While I liked their other shrimp dishes more, it is still a very solid choicefrom a very delicious restaurant! Read more

Looks can be deceiving here, it's a small hole in the wall place. The outside looks very rundown. The lot that Golen Plate is in... looks completely terrible. But we decided to try it out since the sesame pockets here were supposedly very good, and it did notdisappoint! The filler (which we got pork) was delicious and paired very well with the sesame buns. So good I was shoveling itinto my mouth by itself when I ran out of buns. We got the Kung pao chicken and the honey walnut shrimp, both which weredelicious. Kung Pao was less American tasting than you'd get at some other places and had a rich flavor, while the Shrimp wasnice and plump and very very fresh! The egg rolls were just your standard egg rolls. Being a cheap lunch special deal was justextra icing ontop! Golden Plate is definitely our favorite Chinese place so far in the Denver area. Can't wait to come againand try something new. Update: Came back to try the Pan Fried special noodles. It was sooooo good. Sauce was so good you coulddrink it. Shrimp here are enormous here and taste fresh and very well marinated. Wish I could review this place twice! Read more

Been going to this nice family owned place for over 20 years. They are one of the best Chinese restaurants in town. Authentic... Chinese mixed with your usual ?localized? Chinese food. The crispy duck is the best I?ve ever had. The new dish sesame eggplantwas delicious. The owner keeps improving the menu. Always enjoy going there. The only draw back is that the strip mall has beenrun down. The city has neglected this area for a while. Pot holes in parking lot. This doesn?t detract my enjoyment of thisfabulous little restaurant. Read more

Long story short, get the sesame pockets (maybe two orders). Not particularly impressive upon first glance, but looks can be... very deceiving. The food is good, but the item that makes this place stand out are the sesame pockets. Simply amazing. Pastriesare flaky, flavorful and compliment the filling amazingly well. It?s an experience unlike any other. I don?t know if you canfind anything that comes close to the sesame pockets in another chinese restaurant within the state. Very kind and hardworkingowners.
