Awesome poke on one of my favorite streets in downtown Denver. I?ve recently become obsessed with poke and am now on a mission... to find the best in town! I would honestly rate my experience as four stars, but I think I am mostly to blame, so I won?t dragdown their hard earned 4.8. I got the chili mango salmon bowl and it was definitely really good- I kind of wandered in andbecame overwhelmed with all the add ons. I think next time I?ll order ahead online so I can build my own bowl at my leisure!Definitely would recommend. Read more
Denver Poke Company has been my go to place for poke for a while. It's hard to find another poke place that has the level of... touch in everything that goes into the poke bowl. I overheard the owner say one time "I would never serve anything that I didnot think was delicious". At first listen/read, this may sound a bit pompous but it really is true. There was not one time thatI ordered a bowl here and thought "I wish this was different". You really can't go wrong with anything you order here. I wouldhonestly give it more stars if I could. I would say the only downfall I can really think of is that during typical busy hours(Fridays, Saturdays, and after work hours), the parking can be a bit difficult as there is only street parking available (orexpensive lot parking) on the very busy "Platte Street" but still totally worth it. Food at Denver Poke Company was prepared and presented with at most care and dedication. Their Bamboo rice (white rice infused... with green tea and bamboo juice is out of this world. The chef told me that his 20+ years of experience in restaurant industrywas instrumental in putting together this incredibly tasty poke bowl menu. Looking at the way they prepped our poke bowls (Chilimango & Salmon poke bowl, and, Pineapple Tuna Poke Bowl), my friend fondly referred to them as ?Food Scientist!? Gluten free eatery I ordered the small bowl, great portion for the price. Parking was hard to find, we spent more time finding... parking then at the shop picking out our items for the bowl. I liked that they had different kinds of items to add on. The staffcould use a training on just being more welcoming, pleasant, nice, patient. When I would ask what something was, there were acouple of scoffs (as if I should already be knowledgeable about the items), I dismissed the rudeness and still asked because Iwas traveling through and wanted to give the food a shot. Food was fresh! Sauces were ?ok?. Variety of items to add to bowlswere many. Seating is minimal (inside and outside). Because there were 3 different staff that slid my build a bowl through theline, wish the staff was more pleasant to be around. Read more
