We had a great dinner at Blanco tonight. The cocktails and margaritas were very good. From the chips and salsa to the entrees,... the food was delicious. Another cute little Mexican restaurant. They do have quite a few gluten free options which is fantastic. We ordered a few items... that turns out couldn’t be made gluten free the Carne Asada and Tiger shrimp both have soy sauce. But the manager came out andexplained in further detail what we could eat. Overall the food quality was good I had the combo plate with a beef taco, beantostada and cheese enchilada. My husband got the chicken fajitas. Everything was okay. Nothing made this place really stand outbesides the good cocktails. We enjoyed our meal but won’t be rushing back. Read more
Decor is very Palm Springs, California. But like every place in Denver, understaffed. Hectic staff trying to keep up. Manager... apologizing and thanking you for your patience. Waited 30 minutes for a table even though we counted a half dozen open tables, awide open patio, and communal bar tables that were not available to us while waiting (18 open seats while we stood awkwardlyby). Forget asking for more salsa, it won’t come. The prices are good and the food was tasty. We will probably try it again in6-9 months when the kinks are worked out. Read more
Highlights: The pork in the burritos was fantastic—juicy and flavorful! Cool vibes and ambiance. Free chips and salsa always a... plus. Service was friendly. The free salsa wasn’t terribly interesting, more on the side of generic chunky American-styletomato salsa. I guess you get what you pay for. They do have a delicious chile de árbol salsa if you ask, and that was awesomeif you like heat. The machaca was a touch on the dry side. Also, I would’ve loved to try their tacos but I can’t justifypaying $15-20 for two tacos. I can get a handful of authentic tacos from a taco stand on Federal for < $10 bucks. Read more
Everything tasted fresh and was good - but the flavor profiles were not super interesting. I thought the mahi and shrimp tacos... were a little bland. The avocado taco was my favorite. If you don’t want spice in your Mexican cuisine, this is a good placefor you. Atmosphere is cool and service was great. Would come back here again for a reliable experience but not for culinarygenius. Read more
We made it to Blanco today and ended up eating one of their cheese crisps and had two different margaritas. The cheese crisp... was very good and reasonably priced. The atmosphere and staff were the highlights I feel they would benefit in reducing theirprices $17-18 for a pair tacos is too expensive and I’d recommend $13-16. Honestly, I would have had the tacos too if theyweren’t so expensive. The Mexican Martini was good but you need to do it right with a shaker and olives (I lived in Austin &San Antonio for 13 years). Finally, they would benefit by improving their salsa it was like Pace Picante with some extracilantro in 1 oz mini bowls. I wish them luck as a newer business and I hope they appreciate the advice. First time trying this restaurant and will be probably back soon! The overall experience was great, nice clean location with... outdoor covered seating. The service was good, the food was delicious and the portions were generous. The food took a bit toolong to come out given there were few people dining but no big deal. Recommended! Read more
Pretty good hipster Mexican spot! They also have white queso which is hard to come by out here. The guac was tasty and they had... a bucket of Mexican beer deal with it for $28. The drinks were good too! I really enjoyed the salsa verde pork enchiladas morethan the short rib bowl. Charro beans have more flavor than the black beans too! Overall I’d go back! Service was awesome tooand they have a patio with bar outside and allow dogs. Street parking and valet parking as well. Read more
