This Mexican restaurant is quaint and comfortable. Even when it was busy, the room did not feel "noisy." The service here is... very good. Our server made sure to quietly check on us to refresh drinks and make sure we were happy with our lunch. The food istasty; and not overly salted. Servings are generous, and come out to the table quickly. Definitely would recommend thisrestaurant! Read more

Delicious food! Well seasoned beef, good sized plates for the money. Only downside for me is the lack of a really spicy hot... sauce. Other than that, the staff are friendly and attentive and the food is great! Will be back. Update, made a secondtrip. Had a different menu item and was a little let down this time. Very salty, nothing really stood out. The steak tacosneeded onion and cilantro. Would still come back, but would definitely try something else. Read more

May be this is more meat lover place, for vegetarians this is not so great restaurant. The rice is bland and flavorless.... Vegetables seems undercooked and could be more oil. Read more

The food and service here has always rated 5 stars except today. We're retired and have been traveling for the last couple of... years. We're in Denton for the week and always loved Villa Grande. We started with the jalapeño rellenos, they were as good asever. Then came our entrees, Platillo Sur and Steak Guiso. Platillo Sur, room temp enchiladas, topping on the enchiladas roomtemp, frijoles room temp, sprinkled cheese softened like it was set under a heat lamp for 45 seconds. Steak Guiso, meat wastender and slightly warm, charro beans room temp, grilled vegetables were dry and over charred, tasted like they were grilledyesterday. Service was almost non-existent. Today rated 2 stars, they got 4 for historic visits. I have a hard timerecommending. Read more

Excellent customer service! The food was good other than the chicken which was a little tough but not horrible I'd prefer a... softer bite. Would recommend checking out something new. Read more

The food was sooo yummy! We all (my kiddo and his dad) had the fajitas and we all loved it!! The waitress that we had was... friendly enough and the food was extremely well portioned for the price. Only downside is that it doesn't come with shreddedcheddar cheese like most fajita meals do at restaurants. Get there early because the later it gets, the longer the wait. We weretold 45 minutes, but it was more like 20, so that was great. All in all a great family place to eat. ???? Read more
