I typically like Rudy's but this location is terrible! 1st time ordered brisket breakfast tacos for me and my bosses. They gave... me dried up hard as rock tacos. Literally could knock them in the counter and hear how loud it was. Totally inedible. Gave thema second chance and stopped for dinner on my way home. Brisket was chewy and gross. I prefer the moist end, however it wasn'tmoist, the fat was like gristle and the meat was chewy as if it weren't cooked enough. Not dry and overcooked, definitelyundercooked. Just gross!! This location needs to step it up for sure. Read more

Great food and amazing service. We placed an order and there was a mix up when we went to pick up, manager on duty apologized... and made it right. We appreciate his Texas hospitality and raised right values. Will continue to be our go to for BBQ and goodservice. Thank you! Read more

2022/08/05 was our first visit. We ordered 2 Brisket sandwiches and 1 jalapeño sandwich for $28. They were all BIG sandwiches,... worth the money in today's time. Came with pickles, onions and sauce. The original sauce was said to be the "hot, which was veryflavourful but not hot. The non hot "sissy" sauce as its called, was tasty also, but could taste ketchup flavoring. The youngman at the drive thru was very informative, patient and helpful. Was an overall good experience. We WILL be back! Read more

Great customer service & I like the setup! The lean brisket potato was good & flavorful, but the sides & krispy treat were ok.

Had no clue what this place was from the highway and was hoping for a novelty store when I stopped. However, pretty much just a... BBQ joint. Which well, nothing wrong with that either. Pay by the pound concept and the staff were INCREDIBLY helpful as I wasa virgin. They even offered me samples of their best sellers in the protein department! Actually, the customer service andatmosphere was better than the food. It was good, just not fantastic. The lean brisket was way too dry and the moist a bitfatty. Even though it did not look appetizing, the sausage was excellent. I would go back for the sausage but not thebrisket. Kinda fun to eat right off wax paper and help yourself to their pickle and onion bar. Plenty of sauces to sample withas well. And the bread comes portioned out in bags! All in all, the price was excellent as well. Read more

I've eaten here a couple time now and Rudy's has been consistently flavorless. The brisket I had today was awful. I couldn't... taste a hint of wood smoke or seasoning on it, it makes me wonder if it's smoked at all. From the texture and flavor it'd makemore sense if their brisket is steam-cooked instead of what they advertise. Real Texas BBQ is often post-oak smoked and heavy onthe peppercorn, keeping it simple and bringing out the flavors in the meat. Rudy's seems intent on eliminating flavor instead ofenhancing it. I don't think Rudy's has any credence claiming to serve "Real Texas Bar-B-Q" with flavorless meats. Pellet smokersgive more flavor to brisket than whatever they're using here, let alone a real wood smoker. The turkey is average, perhaps alittle below average, and the sausage is fine. That being said, it's pretty impossible to screw up sausage. Their side dishesaren't necessarily good or bad, and about the only thing they do well is make BBQ sauce. The sauce is decent, and they clearlytake pride in it because you'd have to drown your meal in "sause" to make it palatable. Read more

I always order Breakfast from the Frisco location and it's always hot and awesome. We ordered $40 in food for dine in and I was... gravely disappointed. My baked potato was DARK BROWN and looked like no one washed it and it was room temperature and needed tobe cooked a little more. It was hard and not fluffy at all. My jalapeño sausage was not hot. I bit into it and I got a mouthfulof cold sausage grease. Our moist brisket was 1/2 fat instead of more marble cut. On the plus side you had a big variety of icecold beverages on ice. Needless to say we will not be coming back. Read more
