Awesome menu full of flavor, I left feeling super full and satisfied. It was my first time visiting Pepitas and wanted to try as... many tacos of their tacos as I could and I was happy to see that they had flexibility in the menu! I chose to get their ?combo 3meal? which allowed me to pick three of their tacos with a serving of black beans and rice. I picked their fried chicken taco,birria, and their al pastor. All three were super tasty and their beans were super savory. My partner also ordered their chipsand queso. The chips were piled high and we weren?t even able to finish them all. The queso was creamy and cheesy, without theuse of actual animal products. They cooked their queso with cuts of jalanpeno and onion, so when it is served you may expectlarge cuts of those in your bowl. Something I was not expecting was the heat packed into our food. It was pleasantly spicy, andmuch more so than food I would typically find at a restaurant. The spices in my tacos were spicy as well as the queso. Superawesome experience. I also ordered their horchata and it was refreshing and had everything I loved about horchata made withdairy. I?ll love to come back to eat at Pepitas when I?m in town. Read more
I loved Pepitas Vegan Taqueria. We ordered the Flautas and the (jack fruit) Brisket and Birria Tacos and the Elote (not... pictured). I didn?t eat the brisket tacos but my husband loved them. They use flour tortillas for their flautas, I personallylike that, they were very crispy. The crema they used to drizzle over the flautas was so good I needed more of it. Very vibrantflavors! The chips and hot sauce ARE AWESOME! One of sister's tacos was just a short strip of bell pepper and onion...see foto. All... around disappointed with food...could be SO much better. Really expected more items on menu. Read more
The food was delicious and the staff was really nice and welcoming too. Spanish music is always playing which is definitely a... plus and must have for a Mexican restaurant. I even forgot I was eating vegan food. Can't really tell much of a difference fromactual meat. Had the Chik'n tacos, tacos al pastor, and birria tacos. All were delicious and had enough salsa with everybite. They also brought us some salted chips and home made salsa for them which was one of the best salsas I've had.
