I'm usually a dedicated loophole burger guy on Wednesday nights but last night was a fun change. Osteria is a tiny place with... maybe 10 table tops at most with a few outside tables. But the food was off the charts. Our waitress was extremely patient withus and detailed every single item in the menu. She recommended a wonderful red wine for dinner after we said what we were in themood for. I wish I had all the words to describe the food. But first off hold on eating a ton of that bread. It's delicious butit may stop you from getting dessert at the end. We picked out two appetizers since we had a hard time choosing but shared. I'malmost stuffed at this point. Then comes the main course. Beautiful! So tasty! Finish off the bottle of wine and I'm done. Nomore room and have lunch for tomorrow. I'd like to come back for a special event so I can squeeze in the dessert next time. Read more
After months of waiting, I finally got to visit this place! It is a small venue with tons of interest so get your reservations... early!! The food was amazing! We tried almost everything on the menu and it was all delicious. They have a great wineselection, too. The restaurant has a really home-like vibe with great service and happy staff. I even got to meet the ownersand they are great people working hard to have an amazing restaurant. I will be trying my best to get another table asap! Read more
Great food and a great atmosphere! Only 24 seating, everyday is a different menu. You have to time your reservations or else... you'll miss out for that month, there is a waiting list in case someone does a last minute cancellation. The employees arereally nice and knowledgeable about the food and the owner is also a nice guy and personable. Will definitely beback!!! Update... Came back again tonight and the food was amazing! Cozy and romantic little Italian fine dining, perfect for date night. The food, service, and atmosphere are all top teer. The... menu can change day to day, and they have daily specials, as well. Everything we've had there is fantastic, from appetizers todesserts, with wines to pair. It's all fresh, from scratch, daily in the kitchen. Reservations fill up immediately, but you canjoin the wait-list and be notified if a cancellation opens up a spot, and it's definitely worth the wait. Read more
I wish I could give this place 10 stars, it?s that GOOD! I?ve never had food this good and wholesome. Every time I go, I leave... full and happy. The chef knows exactly what he?s doing! The menu is very well thought out! I love that their menu is differenteach day, you can try something different every time you go! I recommend this place to all my friends and family! Amazing experience! We had mentioned it was our Anniversary, and was welcomed with a personalized card signed by the entire... staff. The food was outstanding, and the menu was so unique. We wanted to know what every item on the menu was and had so manyquestions. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable and described every dish with passion. With the menu being specialized andalways changing, we were very impressed. 10/10 would recommend, and we will definitely will be trying to get a reservationagain. Read more
Osteria il Muro did nothing but impress me last night. I don't usually frequent Denton but I can safely say this is in a league... of it's own. The chef's track record speaks for itself as he utilizes the skills he gained in Dallas to send out dish afterdish. The meats, pastas, breads, everything is made in house and it shows. The staff was great as well, Ben was one of the mostknowledgeable servers I've had in DFW. This dude was a living codex for Italian cuisine. The place is also extremely affordable,the meal I had easily would have cost me double in Dallas. The moral of the story; Muro is a breath of fresh air and you shouldvisit. Read more
This, overall, was probably one of the best restaurant experiences I have ever had. The server was such a sweetheart and... translated everything on the menu (including the wines!) and was great at recommending items on the menu. The menu is a bit hardto read for the layperson, but that's what the server is for! I had a mushroom pasta and my boyfriend tried the special of thenight (it was a short rib dish). Now, I'm not exaggerating when I say this was the best food I've had at a restaurant. Ever. Notjust in Denton, but ever. The whole experience was phenomenal and I will absolutely be going again. My sister was lucky enoughto get a reservation in December for her birthday at my insistence. If you're persistent and manage to get a reservation, youWILL NOT be disappointed. Read more
