My son and I ordered chicken wings and waffles. I ordered catfish plate. The catfish two out of three was so thin. Hardly any... meat. All crunch. The one piece that did have meat was seasoned well and good. My okra was overly cooked. Not worth the price.Very disappointed. I will have to travel to Oak Cliff for some good Soul Food???? Read more
Pork chop was fried a little hard but the flavor and sauce were good. All the bread that came with the chicken sandwich and pork... chop were soggy and falling apart at the touch. Mac and cheese tasted like it had no soul in it and was soggy. The greens wereso over cooked they melted in my mouth. Kinda sad cause I was missing the soul food I could get back home in FL. I should have read reviews on this place before ordering on Uber eats. Yuck! I should have known better.. soul food and Denton... don’t even sound like a Match… i pray this is not a BOB. Can’t be. We wouldn’t just serve things out of cans and call itsoul food. Thank goodness For refunds. Trashed the whole meal. I ordered all the side veggies and cornbread FYI. Sodisappointed. Read more
This place was great! I know a lot of reviews said the fries were over cooked..I think the were nice and crispy. The fish was... awesome too. I mean it’s not like a Michelin restaurant so I don’t know where the critics are coming from. They probablydidn’t order the right thing and aren’t the most educated in southern cuisine. No no, no and no. No fries, no bread,no red beans and rice and worst of all no Fresh Catfish. This was our first and last visit... to Clara’s Kitchen. We ordered the catfish basket and it didn’t taste Fresh it was fishy. Worst Catfish ever. Thanks but nothanks. Read more
The fish was the only good thing on our plate. The fries were soggy and burnt at the same time. Our boudin ball was... disappointing and had a hair on it. The place is really not clean and the employees don't wear gloves and didn't wash therehands when going from money to food. Won't be going back and hope I don't pay for this decision later today. First time being here and I must say the food is definitely worth every penny. Every meal is made to order and it may take a... moment to get it made, but when you get it HONEY it’ll take you to church ???????????? will definitely be returning! Read more
Ordered uber eats..potato salad was left out my order which they sent extra potato salad instead...fish couldnt have been fried... fresh..mac n cheese and cornbread was all i ate..yams. just were okay ..red beans tasted bland..and the worse. The bananapudding smelled spoiled literally. Had to have been sitting in a fridge..NOT FRESHLY MADE ..i tried to support my black ownedbut will never eat this one again unfortunately.
