Ice cream is decent, but very overpriced for the portion size--$8+ for a single scoop, single topping sundae (I say this... comparing it to an award-winning creamery in CT, where the sundaes are 2-3x the size for the same price Sundae School charges).The homemade whipped cream is a plus. I thought the parking lot was decent, but perhaps it wasn't prime busy time when my familyvisited. Ample picnic tables. Cash only. I'd give it a 3.5, but alas Google doesn't allow for half stars. Sundae school is a classic and I was so excited to share it with my little one. The ice cream was so good and we ate inside next... to the antique soda fountain. Just note that it was cash only went we went so luckily we had some. They still have penny candytoo and lots of t shirts. Definitely a must do for any cape cod vacation. Read more
I have been a fan of Sundae School ice cream since 1976, when they opened the first store in a little shack down the street... from where my sister was renting a house for the summer. We loved the ice cream then and it hasn?t changed a bit! Sundae Schoolhas always been a part of our family summers. I surprised myself this summer, trying a new flavor, Amoretto Nut. Sweet creamenough has been my favorite for years but the amaretto flavor just permeated the whole cone. The ice cream is really creamy, andthe homemade whipped cream and fresh cherry are a nice touch. This past week, we introduced no less than four people to SundaeSchool Ice Cream, not counting the dog who so enjoyed her cup of sugarless vanilla! In fact, we tried to rush there after theband concert tonight, but were a few minutes late. Now we head back to South Carolina in the morning, before Sundae School opensso we are officially done with Sundae School for the year. The ice cream was delicious but the homemade whip cream was even better! But the portions are sadly small and parking situation... was crazy! They really should really team up with the pizza place across the street. Read more
This is no doubt the BEST ice cream I've ever had! It is delicious, sweet, creamy and just a classic sundae! You can not beat... it! The location is wonderful and the location has plenty of parking and beautiful lighting. The staff were so friendly andoutgoing. As non-locals we were new to their system so it was nice they were patient and answered all of our questions. Pleasecheck this and enjoy some of their DELICIOUS ice cream!! Large menu filled with delicious flavors. A staple for many who visit and live on the Cape. Servings are a bit small but their... whipped cream is top notch. Overall, a great ice cream option that will impress people from ages 2 -92. Read more
Delicious! We went to a 7 different ice cream stands (once daily for a week!) and Sundae School was at the top, along with... School House and Smuggler?s. ???? ???? It?s a special flavor but if it?s on the menu during your visit, we LOVED ChocolateOreo! Bass River Mud (coffee fudge, chips, and chopped almonds), grasshopper and cookie dough were also super!! SIZING NOTE: Not that we went away hungry ???? but sizes here were smaller than everywhere else we went.
