The only better fried fish is at home! Generous portions. Black eyed peas and hand cut French fries are excellent. Service can... be a little better. Seems as though they don?t want you to have drink refills. Every time we order a baked potato, we have toask several times to get cheese. Still, this is a solid dinner choice! Read more

The best catfish, period. The batter is just perfect. It's crispy, flaky, perfection with every bite. Seriously, the only better... catfish I've ever had in my life was when I was a little girl and I'd catch a fish andy grandma would fry it up herself. AND theside are amazing - black eyes peas and fried okay are fire. Even the coleslaw is fire. Staff is friendly and kind, service isquick, the tea is sweet, and the fish is outstanding. We enjoyed a delicious lunch today at Huck's! Catfish was the main feature all around our table and it did not disappoint!... Everyone enjoyed their fish and the homemade tartar sauce was fresh and creamy....so good! I think that the hush puppies came inas second favorite....they were warm, crispy on the outside and deliciously tender on the inside. Everyone enjoyed the varioussides that were chosen, the portions were generous and tasty. Our waitress took excellent care of us, making sure the water andsodas were filled as needed. Very solid catfish! All the food we had was very good for a spot off the highway in North Texas. We had a vegetarian with us and... she was able to find good vegetables and fries. The peach cobbler had a nice flavor. The highlight was the catfish with cleanwhite meat, not muddy. Could use a little kick for a Mississippi style as claimed. A half order is plenty for most humans. Willprobably go back sometime in the future as my son lives up there now. Read more
