The restaurant changed owner and feels the portions gotten smaller, prices are pretty high for what I got. No check backs on how... the food was, service was mediocre, food was mediocre at best, my fish was rubbery and slow; $3 for a can of coke?! Comeon.... First time I have been here since it changed from Salty’s to Uncle’s. I was a regular customer when Reg was the owner as the... location is just down the street from my house. Portion sizes have decreased and prices are the same. I ordered take out for meand my four family members. The meal sizes were so small, that only the children were full. The rest of us were still hungry.This was not the case with the previous owner, portion sizes used to be generous. Also, the batter on the fish was soggy andthe fries were stone cold. I ordered at around 6:20pm and arrived at 6:40pm for pick up. It felt like the fries were stale andwere sitting there for hours. The staff was also very unfriendly. I was the only one in the restaurant when I went to pick upmy order and there was no attempt at polite conversation. The lady just asked me my name, told me to take a seat and thenproceeded to the back area to check her phone, which I saw. After a little while she gave me my order and just asked "Visa ordebit". Once I paid there was no "Thank you." "See you again" "Enjoy" nothing. She just turned around and left. Customer servicereally needs improvement. I was so disappointed. Read more
The staff person that took my order was not overly pleasant, order felt rushed and inpatient. Order at 6:11, told 30... minutes...arrived at 630.. the restaurant was empty so being busy is no excuse for the order we received. The fish breading wassoft like it had just been reheated. The chips were room temperature.. only decent part was the coleslaw. Not impressed withthis at all. Read more
Amazing food. Great service. Must try Halibut and coleslaw with chilled cold beer. Loved it.
We went there for the first time today and were very excited after having read the reviews. Upon arrival, we were greeting ever... so nicely by all the staff and were initially very pleased with everything. They had a few promos going on so the price of ourmeal was quite decent. Our food came in a timely manner and we were shocked by our portions! Man, were we excited to indulge inour food. The clam chowder; room temp and likely from a can. Oysters; sour and undercooked. Other than that, fries were greatand so was the fish:). We were also very pleased with the fact that they give you complimentary ice cream after your meal. Ifyou're in a rush and are craving fish and chips I'd recommend this place. If you have time to travel a bit, go elsewhere.Service was a 11/10 and overall food was a 6/10. Read more

My wife and I have been going here for a couple years now. They were Saltys before being sold to a new ownership and changing... their name to Uncle's. The new management is pretty friendly and food continues to be good overall. Only thing we don't like isthat our fries were way undercooked during our latest visit so we had to ask them to deep fry again. Other than that, fish andshrimp continues to be nicely deep fried and our favorite is their tartar sauce. Would definitely recommend this place ???? Read more
