Reviews for Las Catrinas Mexican and Tequila Bar in Delray Beach, FL
Colorful and spacious place to grab some “Amexican” food in Delray Beach. The food is not particularly original, meaning... it’s the typical food offered in American-Mexican restaurants; however it’s pretty good and well executed. They also haveone of the best margaritas I tried outside of my home; maybe a tad sweet but good. The service was very good at the bar and wereally had a good time. They also have salsa courses on Saturday (salsa to dance, not to eat), it would be fun to tryonce. Prices are a bit on the high side ($ 5 tacos) but on par with similar places in PBC, so not bad. I will definitely stopby again when in the area, this place has a good vibe Read more
What a colorful place with a fun vibe and open floor plan. We were able to host a birthday party there at the restaurant with... our family and friends. Good food and atmosphere. The staff and management were working hard to take care of the party and makesure we were happy. The bartender Ryan made great alchohol and non-alcoholic or mocktails, and our server Kerry took great careof us! We found out there was salsa dancing 8:30pm Saturday nights!Thank you again! We came here for HH last Saturday. I love the paintings on the wall and the décor in general. The bar area is very big, the... same goes for the dining room and they also have some tables outside by the entrance. The waiter (Ryan) was awesome: he’svery friendly and very knowledgeable! Their Margaritas are totally homemade, meaning that they don’t use the prepared mix,but freshly squeezed limes. That day they also had the spicy Margarita for HH, and personally I prefer this one to the regular, which I found to be too sweet. We also tried the brisket quesadilla: I don’t know how really Mexican that dish is, but it wasthe best quesadilla I ever had! Their chips and sauces (not complimentary) are very tasty as well. I hope we can go back forHH on a Tuesday, when they offer tacos at a special price. And maybe one day we will be able to dine there on a Saturday night, when they have a salsa coach teaching the patrons how to dance! Read more
VERY FUN and upbeat restaurant. We ordered the fajitas. Food was absolutely fantastic. They had a DJ there with some salsa... lessons. This is the kind of place you to not go to just for food. You go to have fun and a couple drinks. I’ll definitely begoing back to try to get that five star experience next time. Read more
The Birria tacos were tasteless. Even the broth (which is basically seasoned fat and supposed to taste good) tasted like... nothing! The rice was pretty good but that was it. The shell and meat in the taco were tasteless (and no, I don't have Covidlol). The waitress was new but still, they obviously hired people with no experience. She didn't ask if we wanted waters, knewvery little amount menu items, put in wrong orders and never came back periodically to see if we wanted to order more/ were ok.The live music was pretty good, they did different genres with live singing (Latin, Bob Marley, Sinatra. Etc) but overall, Iwould not go back unless they fixed the menu and service a bit. I will say the drinks were good and it has potential. It has along, spacious bar and awesome artwork. Read more
The Happy Hour menu was definitely something to check out. We ordered the cheese quesadilla which was massive and good I... thought. The shrimp, octopus and fish tacos weren’t bad at all. I would definitely go back. Read more
