We had such a good dinner here last night! I?m assuming it was the manager, did an awesome job when visiting us and helping out... our server to make our experience better. Started us off talking about wine and we picked a bottle, and came back to cut thehead and tail off my Branzino. I can expect every other five star review would have gone at length the layers of thoughtful review. The wait staff attire:... blue-collar modern meets stylist (tips his hat on this one). The bread and butter service on the entry was really nice andseasonings all were in just the right place and that stainless apparatus your wait staff is using to touch up the table againvery well played. I had the lobster tagliatelle. I thought there was some shell sediment or sand but all in all I waspleased. My mother really enjoyed her chef special steak service last night and especially a thank you to the managerial stafffor making sure that the steak was prepared appropriately. Made reservations and we were seated on time. The atmosphere is bustling and lively. Sat on the patio and I enjoyed the view... because I?m a people watcher and there?s plenty see on the Delray strip lol. Service was excellent. Wine was great. Ordered thefliet mignon, Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes. The sides were so delicious but I wasn?t loving the steak. Considering filetmignon is a lean cut of meat, I found mine to be a bit fatty and chewy. The price was high, some would say overpriced. Overallan enjoyable experience. New to the avenue and it was my birthday so we decided to try it. They have a nightly special, Taste of Avalon, a three course... dinner for $ 55 if seated by 7. For an additional $ 20, you can get a wine flight, a glass of wine with each course. Ourservicer Euich was fantastic, professional ,personal, and very attentive. My wife started with the AVALON CAESAR, little gemlettuce, parmesan, and a pullman crouton and hard boiled egg on top. GREAT. I tried the TUNA TARTARE, sushi grade tuna, avocado,black garlic soy, crispy shallots, and house made chips .Superb. For mains, I had the FILET MIGNON ,6 oz filet, garlickyspinach with a whole head of garlic on top of the spinach, fingerling potatoes, and port wine shallot sauce. Cooked perfectlyand the sauce was unreal. My wife ordered the MAINE HALIBU tri-cauliflower, currants, capers, and pine nuts with a citrusbrown butter. Also great. For dessert, we both tried the FLOURLESS CHOCOLATE CAKE with salted caramel sauce and vanilla icecream . Very good. Beautiful spot for outdoor (and indoor option) dining in the heart of Atlantic Ave. Perfectly balanced menu between apps, raw... bar, steak + seafood (I recommend hamachi + tuna tartare + burrata for starters and the porterhouse steak for entree sharingbetween 2-3 people, especially with the full sauce sampler that comes included with five sauces). A special thanks to the Somwho was very knowledgeable and passionate about his curated wine list, even gave our table some recs off-menu to pick up atlocal grocery stores for a regular weeknight.
