Reviews for Wawa in Delmar, DE
Roaches crawling everyone on cups and staff just walking around like it?s cool. Dead roaches by milk and creamer. Just nasty... cause they just remodeled 2 yrs ago. Read more
Overall, everything is great other than the occasional out of stock things and it being crowded because of it's location, but... the past three times that I've gotten food, there's been something wrong. All three times I've ordered a Buffalo Chkn ChzSteakwith ranch, cucumbers and lettuce with salt pepper and oregano. The first time, they somehow forgot the chicken and the buffalosauce. The second time there was a hair in my sub, and the third time they forgot the chicken AGAIN! I've noticed that a fairlynew employee has worked on all three occasions and has been in the deli for them as well, but I'm not 100% certain if they arethe issue. I will order again and if the same employee is there and my order is messed up somehow, I WILL be calling to addressthe issue so no one else's order is messed up. Read more
This particular location is always extremely busy. I'm a local and I get frustrated with waiting in line. But with that being... said....there's a team member....his name is Jackson. He's a cashier, and he is not only pleasant and fast, he truly seems tolove what he does. His forethought, energy, kindness, and work ethic is unmatched, in my opinion. Read more
I like this wawa, only knocked a star bc the customer service isn?t as great as the others but it?s still better than a 7/11 or... an Exxon. Wawa food is just something else, never disappoints. Their order ahead options make the experience easy and seamless.Good gas, love the smell of gas. The one in north Salisbury is right down the road and better but if you?re in Delmar for someodd reason it?s the best gas station there (sorry pizza boys) Read more
I went here today to pickup my Wawa shorti Italian hoagie reward! Always good sandwiches at this Wawa! ????????
I ordered a cheesesteak Mac N cheese. The lazy workers there couldn?t even be bothered to mix in the thin steak into the Mac n... cheese. They simply slabbed it on top and threw my order on the counter. They also forgot to make my drink causing me to waitanother 10 min for a smoothie. Do yourself a favor and drive another 5 min to the North Salisbury Wawa if you really want Wawathat bad. Read more
Wawa is one of my favorite stores. After 4 trips to this location over the past 2 weeks from this point forward I will go out of... my way, pay taxes and head to the North Salisbury location. The customer service is absolutely terrible. From the cashiers tothe manager. The deli worker even announced out loud that she ?keeps her blade on her at all times if people want to play withher?. The night shift manager heard this comment made and entertained the conversation. The one cashier who seemed to be theonly person in the store to ever be happy or smile and treat customers with good customer service skills was talked down to andhollered at by the night shift manager because she didn?t like the way she was ringing up products, after being talked tohorribly by the manager that night every experience with her since then has been cold and unfriendly like the rest of the nightemployees. No more smiles or friendliness from her now either. I will be calling corporate about these experiences in a couplehours. I have never been treated so horribly in any Wawa or other store period. I am a former Wawa employee of 6 years and it pains me that I can not in good conscience leave a 5 star review. I do not know... what is going on at this location lately but I have been disappointed. About half of the staff I have interacted with over thepast 6 months have not been reflecting all of the big 6 core values. Most notably, the delight customers core value. There isalso the GREAT model, which I feel is not being followed by a good portion of those working the registers. The last time I wasin I was not greeted or given eye contact or a thank you. I got what I needed but it seemed as though I was a bother to theassociate. I do tend to visit this location during second shift, which is the 3pm-11pm time of day, and this seems to be when Iencounter a less than stellar experience. I occasionally come in during the end of first shift (usually some time betweennoon-3pm) and have ALWAYS had a great experience during that time of day. I understand times are tough with hiring staff afterthe pandemic (I am now a business owner and suffer the same issue) but I'd rather wait in line longer for a pleasant interactionthan get out faster through an interaction that left me feeling like I wasn't valued. The quality of service matters to somemore than speed. The GM of this location should consider retraining customer service and/or replace the staff they can withthose who model the great customer service we've come to expect from Wawa. Otherwise, this location IS very busy so a wait canbe inevitable. I am understanding and empathetic to that. The food quality has been on point and the store is kept well stocked.Any time I've used the ladies room it has been kept clean and stocked. I will still go here because I do love me some Wawa andthis is my conveniently local (3 miles from my house) store, I just hope there are positive changes made and soon! Read more
