Old fashioned burger joint, with good service. The burger was okay, a little on the dry side. The bun they use was good and... chewy. Nice and unique from the inside .(not your typical fast food restaurant) Read more

Friendly service and fairly busy for a weekday morning. Most breakfast items right around $10 or less. Only (slight)... disappointment was that my omelette description included chorizo and, honestly, it was either missing or SO slim that I didn?tget any taste of that at all. Overall a nice downtown spot. July 6 **EDIT** July 24, I stopped back to this restaurant with mywife after my last visit. While the restaurant had quickly offered me a free meal after my review (thank you), I decided to trysomething different today and, honestly, the review was not made in any effort to receive a free meal. To be expected, Sundaymorning around 10, the diner was busy so we sat outside and enjoyed the breeze. Food was good and the cinnamon roll with mapleglaze did not disappoint. My wife?s breakfast, ?Hometown Favorite? consisted of two eggs, home fries, choice of meat and toast?and she shared in the cinnamon roll. While our server was doing her best, it did seem as if she was pretty busy with orders frommany customers and we heard her apologizing to several tables for various things (we had only forks? not spoon or knife as theywere apparently not available, which I took to mean not washed/prepared?). While we were not ignored, we had a single visitduring our almost 45-50 min meal (aside from taking/delivering our order and then bringing the bill). I may visit again on mynext travel to Delaware, but it?s not on my list of places to exclusively drive FOR. Read more

Amazing food! This feels like a more retro take on what Thurman's does, and that's a huge compliment! Vintage diner meets... classic foods with a modern touch. Made to order with the utmost care, and perfect presentation! Read more

Dave and I love to find local diners on our travels. Today's did not disappoint! The Hamburger Inn Diner was established in... 1932. This little place is frozen in time and I am here for it. 3 horseshoe counters which I loved. They have beveragesranging from hand spun milkshakes, bloody mary, to draft beer. Their breakfast looked amazing. The guy beside me had pancakesand eggs. Our food was delicious! We both got 1/4lbs burgers which is their smallest ones. I can't imagine having the other 2larger sizes. Too much food for me. The service was excellent also. Will definitely return when in the area. Read more

Our server, Emily, was so considerate and friendly. Plus the food was awesome. We even got the cinnamon rolls (the first time... for me) and they were massive and AMAZING. The setting is so charming and welcoming. Super nostalgic for my husband and verywarm and inviting for me. Read more

Okay dude straight up the food here was pretty good and it's right in downtown. I came the day after the art festival so they... was low on product which is understandable but I'm not going to hold that against them. The afternoon staff was real nice andfriendly and the burgers were delicious and that cinnamon bun was amazing+ I don't have any complaints and plan on coming backin the future. Read more

This is a great local spot. The breakfast is quick but quality. Lots of regulars but also welcoming of new people. Also if you... can snag one of their cinnamon rolls, make sure you do! Read more

We were driving back home from a weeks vacation and my husband wanted to try Son of Thurman. It was about a 20 minute wait which... was fine until they told us we had to wait outside in the freezing cold with snow mixture and our 1 year old daughter. It wasbecause of covid and I under stand that to some extent, however no one was wearing masks in that entire restaurant and therewas a family in there waiting to be seated. So we went outside and I looked across the street and saw this really cute burgerplace which was the Hamburger inn diner. I called over to see if they had any open seating not realizing it?s all counterseating and asked The young man if they made people wait outside . His response was oh goodness no. I said okay we?re across thestreet we are on our way over. As soon as we walked inside the young man new who we were and got us set up so quickly. Had thisvery cool kid chair that attached to the counter. He was so incredibly kind and gave us the BEST Service! The staff was sofriendly and I loved how you could watch them make your food right there in front of you. Our food was delicious and our littleOne loved her cheeseburger. The atmosphere was great. ,I?m glad the other place told us we had to wait outside because if theyhadn?t, we wouldn?t have gotten to experience this little gem of a restaurant. If Your driving through or live in this area andhaven?t been, I highly recommend this place. We will be back for sure!!!! Read more
