This is easily one of my favorite spots for sandwiches in San Diego. The sandwiches are very meaty and generously sized. I do... wish service moved a bit faster, however. There was a fair amount of time waiting for the bill to come. Staff is warm andwelcoming. I recommend the Italian beef sandwich or the Reuben with corned beef. Read more
I ordered catering and to be honest I was not overly concerned with price but for what I paid and what I received I have some... concerns about there catering program. I ordered lox and bagels for 10 with fresh fruit and yogurt I also inquired aboutpastries but that request was ignored. We received 10 bagels total I have been working in the event space for years and the thebagel per person count has never been 1 to 1. The delivery was on time and the food decent with exception of the fruit saladwhich was fruit but lacked any flavor or other distinct fruit characteristics. There are slim pickings for deli in San Diegobut I would think twice before ordering catering from this place. Read more
Good food. Super busy but the staff is hustling and making sure needs are met. I only gave it four stars because my son did not... like his burger. I totally enjoyed my turkey pastrami sandwich and the coleslaw was awesome. So is the potato salad. Totallyrecommend this place and will be back. Read more
Excellent food, large portions. You don't leave hungry! Great service. The brisket melts in your mouth.

I haven’t been here in maybe 10 years so my Dad and I were excited to have our first meal in a while here last night. So many... reviews I see and Milton’s own advertising talks about sandwiches “piled high” with quality smoked meat. Perhaps theywere having an off night last night, because I was served a $20 full sandwich plate with less than 1/2 a sandwich worth ofpastrami. Not exactly “piled high”.The meat was dry and I swear the bread was staling because the crust was almost too toughto chew through. My Dad was served the chicken “pot pie”, a pile of chicken gravy and veggies on a plate with a piece ofpuff pastry on top. Finally, $8 worth of onion rings with around 6 total rings for two people, but at least they were warm andcrispy. Overall, For a deli claiming quality food, our experience was disappointing especially since we’d been looking forwardto coming back. Our server did her best with the busy room and we tipped her well, but she was receiving complaints from othertables in the meantime. For what we paid, I would have expected much better quality of food from a deli that’s been inbusiness for almost 30 years. Portions and overall quality of the food we ordered left much to be desired. One star for decentservice and one for a few decent onion rings. Read more
