Service is HORRIBLE!! Came in, sat down for over 15 min. Neither bartender even acknowledged or came over to ask anything. Wow!... Had to go up to the bar and watch the bartender go past 4 times with no acknowledgement. However, the local drunks bellied up tothe bar were getting asked for refills like there was no tomorrow. You would think the bartenders would understand that the tipsare a direct result of the service. This is not the bar to go to for good service. Read more

Food and drinks were excellent!! Service was horrid. Four people behind the bar one foot away from us and it took almost 20... minutes for two of our group to get a drink. We were told at 6:30 if we waited tables large enough to accommodate our groupwould be open at 7:30. We tried to do karaoke but had to wait in line behind three employees before we could sing. No one fromthe show at the Egyptian theatre was allowed to be served after the show. This is why dekalb will always be a lost cause. Driveten minutes out and go to Schmidt?s in Elburn good food good service and no townie attitude. Now I remember why I haven?t goneto dekalb in twenty years Read more

Friendly helpful staff. Good selection of beers and liquors at reasonable prices. Dart boards and pinball machines as well as... the plethora of tv screens make for a fun time for everyone. Great sauces for the chicken wings which are cooked perfectly.Great burgers, poor boys and sandwiches. Fries are a bit disappointing. Other sides are very tasty. Parking is sparse, there isa lot a block away but the trip makes it hard for wheelchairs. Read more

Had a wonderful post honeymoon lunch here. They just got new menus!!! Had the Taco salad and he had the Cuban. Portions... perfect and delicious. Best taco salad I've had. Read more

Went for Thursday kareoke ohh my what a boring time had a few people with us I djed for 10 years and really felt carmella the... kj was not really that good.. the drinks were so so and way over priced . ...the servers were non existent I guess you have towalk up the atmosphere was kinda seedy I didn't have a good time nor did my guest. The kj really ruined it..she doesn't know howto run a crowd..and favours people..rule of thumb whenever you have a new face you always let them up before you favour thepeople who come all the time...the sound system was ok she just was clueless on how to make it sound good...well search foranother place if the kareoke was fun I might of came back...but no we'll take a hard pass on hometown..... Hometown just reintroduced their taco Tuesday and trivia night. I was hesitant to go at first due to the pandemic, but my... worries were eased when I saw that the tables were separated (some removed) and not every table was taken. My friends and I satbetween the bar and the pinball machines which created a very comfortable distance. The tacos were good, the staff was friendlyand responsive, and the drink they recommended was great too! It was just like the good old days, but with more space. Read more
