First ill just say. We love Ed?s their milkshakes are the best compared to many businesses. Now I will say while the food is... good this place is usually busy. When I arrived, and my order was taken my daughter had a separate order, hers was done rightafter mine. The parking lot was empty of to go to customers. We were told 15 to 25 minutes I figured about 35 considering ourorders were very small orders. And then a crowd showed up there was a man who called in his order at 6:30 and was there waitingat 8:40 for his food so I wasn?t the only one, but I had figured that the longer I waited the more chances I had of my orderbeing correct. I ordered 2 kids chb meals with chocolate shakes, a chili dog, hot fudge sunday and two extra fries. An hourlater They lacked a chocolate milkshake, which I noticed before I left so I was able to get that. But when I got home, I wasstill missing chili on my hotdog (so I got a hotdog with onions and some mustard) and was missing two Fries. And my fudge sundaehad very little fudge. My daughter?s order of popcorn, shrimp with fries, a salad, a roll and a Oreo milkshake took an extra 20minutes or so yet she was also missing items and her milkshake was more like milky oreos. I get things get busy but still after1.5 hours we were still missing items that cost over $30. And hers being being $20 you would think we got all our food Read more

This was a very busy day/time. The overall appearance could improve if more time was taken to clean tables after patrons... departed. Kudos to all the waitresses. We (me, a Bro n 2 Sisters) received a friendly welcome from the waitress. She was veryknowledgeable, took mental notes of our orders for beverages n eats, stopped by after being served, not only to see if we neededanything but also to take the time to refill beverages. She was an excellent model and representative for the company she worksfor. As for the food, 5 stars! Read more

My husband and I had a great experience at Ed's. The waitress was very attentive and made sure we always had everything we... needed. The food was delicious! I had the Patty Melt and it was honestly the best patty melt I've ever tried. My husband alreadyloves the Philly Cheesesteak from Ed's so he got that again and thoroughly enjoyed it. We ordered milkshakes to go and they havethe best strawberry milkshake around. If you haven't already tried Ed's I would definitely recommend it, you won't bedisappointed! Read more

Our breakfast for two was $38.46 I had an omelet with no sides. I like that because I do low carb and don?t like paying for... something I can?t eat. Menu stated build your own omelette with 2 egg and 3 egg choice I choose 3 egg which $3.18. It listedall ingredients you can build with. No price or mention of price for the add in?s at the bottom it said prices may vary that wasit. I ordered Philly steak cheese mushroom peppers and onions with jalapeños. My husband said awe that sounds good (he nevergets omelettes) make it an everything! Check out time mine was $9.70 for just the omelette my hubby?s everything just omelettewas $17.03 an order of hash browns $2.75 and bacon $2.69 oh and they charged us $.58 for cups of water. Now the coffee was agood price 2 cups for $3.18 We recently moved here and thought we found a gem of a place for breakfast and looked forward totrying lunch. Not sure if I?ll convince him to return just simply for the principle the menu should have listed prices for addin or at least stated additional charges for add in?s ask your server for the current add in charge. Perhaps manager/owner willcome up with a Philly steak omelette and a price a meat omelette and a price and a ?works? omelette with a price. What sounds togood to be true is and it cost us. We?re on a fixed income so there went our budget. The girl checking us out felt bad and saidthey had just got the menus in. We?ve always liked to support local when we can. Read more

I highly recommend this little dive. A really great burger, fries and chocolate shake. (it almost had to much chocolate, didn't... think that was possible.) Service was great she was very cheerful. I gave 4 stars because of the milk shake and the outsidedining is right beside Hwy 90. (I had my dogs) very very loud. BUT the burger was so good. I love burgers, this one wasdelicious. Read more

It was the wee dawn hours ushering in a Monday morning as we ambled along Interstate 10. The sounds of the pavement passing... under were giving way to the groaning sounds of hunger taking over. As my Fav Fab One started looking online for a tasty oasis,I advised that I didn't want any 'Exit Food'. None of those cookie-cutter franchise food factories just off the I-10 forme. Nearing a town with a name like DeFuniak Springs almost guaranteed we'd find the perfect place. And that is when she foundEd's... The first thing I noticed when pulling into the parking lot was that Ed's has been in business since 1964. That's 58years, folks! Now there ain't nothin' fancy about Ed's. It's a simple shack with a sometime walk-up window, side by sideoutside bathrooms, slightly hazed over window filmed windows and plenty of time-honored scars. Right inside the door you see thesizzlin' flattop where all of the cooking creations come to life. Moseying over to get our breakfast wishes was a girl namedMicah. Turns out she was as unique as her name. Friendly and with a bit of fun she welcomed us in true Southern style. Whenvisiting new places, that first contact with a local makes all the difference. Micah made us feel right at home. Now remember,we're in Ed's for breakfast. It's roughly 8 am here, 9 where we live. Fab One and I keep flipping the two-sided menu over, andover. Lots of choices. Omelets. Pancakes. Eggs any way you like. And a mention about some mighty fine biscuits. With a hint ofmischief in her eyes, Fab One shyly says she's curious about Ed's signature Pub Burger. I glanced around over my shoulder at thesign outside. Sure enough, in big letters it proclaims, 'Home of the PUB BURGER'. Giggling like two kindergarteners we wonderedif Ed's would be willing to whomp up a couple of Pub Burgers while the sun was still waking up outside??? It was at this momentthat Micah approached, pen & order paper in hand. Feeling like I was cheating on the breakfast gods I m Read more

This place was SUCH a FABULOUS find! When I say it is a WONDERFUL burger, I might be selling it short. There was not one thing... on my plate that was anything less than delicious. The place was packed and yet the quality of food being served never slipped. The milkshakes were superb as well! I advise you all to go here next time you are in the panhandle of Florida! It is so worththe trip. Read more
