First time ever today. I ordered 2 tacos today, chicken and carne asada. They were the thickest taco shells i have ever had... and they were amazing. Only one shell needed for street style taco. Also couldnt have stuffed more premium meat in either ofthem. So fresh and full of flavor, served up quick. Hope to get back soon! Read more
First time visit. Smaller menu but food was very good. Tacos and elote were excellent. Margaritas were strong. Would return.
There is no place like this accept maybe in Mexico. Everything is made in house. I could go on and on about the food at this... place but just go. Be patient as great fresh food like this takes time and they are busy. The black beans are fantastic. Soupsare home made. Read more
Absolutely love this place! We had tacos Al pastor, Turkey picadillo, chorizo con queso fundido and the clásico asada. When we... received the tacos we first noticed the homemade tortillas and the generous portion size. The ingredients were fresh and createda great flavor profile that paired well with the three salsas (all delicious especially the red and the habanero) On top of allthat, we had a chance to chat with the owners who are so friendly and personable that made the experience even better. Can?twait to go back and try the aguas frescas and other options for tacos. Read more
I called in for a pick up. My order was 3 steak tacos with a half order of rice and bean and a horchata. My first time ... getting take out from here. The steak was extremely dry, the tacos came with onions, cilantro and avocado slices ( I amallergic to avocado) I had no idea they put avocado on their tacos. No sauce was offered or in the bag. My family and I have been long time customers of Vida and have notably liked the quality of food there. Today we ordered from... there again and since my mother likes the vegetarian taco, she asked them if they could make a 'bean taco' instead.Understandably, the employee on the phone said no but we can sell you tortillas and beans separately and you can make them whichshe reluctantly agreed too. Vida then charged us for the beans + tortillas but we never received them, prompting my mother tocall to complain, which resulted in her getting hung up on by an employee. She calls back on my father's phone and talks to themanager on duty who explains how they, 'have bigger fish to fry' and how he doesn't know how they will refund my mother's money.0/10 customer service, this is not the first time they have messed up an order or been impolite to us specifically. Will not bedining from here again. Vida 'owner', I have seen your reply: It seems like you only READ half the story. My family'sdiscontinuance of ordering from your lousy service was NOT because the accommodations we asked for weren't met, it was becauseyou guys didn't give us some of the food that we ordered, and then when we complained, YOU hung up on my mother, the customer, and THEN didn't even want to give us the time of day to 1) talk to the manager about the situation 2) refund the meal. If youwould like to 'tell your half' of the story then go ahead and do it here so your customers can see. I'm glad you don't letcustomers be rude to employees. In my family, and in the REAL world, customers don't let people who WE pay money to, to HANG UPon us after not delivering on the things we paid you to do CORRECTLY. I am glad you have worked hard to serve those in ourcommunity and surrounding communities but clearly there are large, gaping holes in the structure of your establishment, particularly in order organization and customer service as shown by my family's experience this evening. P.S. if these low Read more
Amazing taqueria that portions its variations of tacos well for their price. I was initially hesitant coming here because I'm... not familiar with $5 tacos. There was also a pretty spicy review somewhere in the list that shirked me from trying it. (Such islife, I suppose) The taqueria seems much larger from the outside than in. There's probably enough seating on the inside formaybe 10-15 persons, but their menu is tacos. Service was quick, and it really felt like there was never a dull moment fromordering to receiving and eating the food. Tacos are portioned very well. Despite ordering three here, there's always thattemptation of smashing that fourth one in. Their pork al pastor didn't quite hit the spot, but their tinga de pollo andbeer-battered sea of Cortez with the squeeze of lime took it to the next level. Their fried pickled jalapenos are intense! Ifeel like I had this in the taste of Chicago several years back and haven't seen or eaten until today. Great conversationstarter and has two different mayo-based flavor profiles that one of which can get you sucked into flavor town. Their horchatadoesn't leave much room for improvement, but I'm curious whether there could be some additional milk fat to make it tastericher. It's a blessing and a curse that the DMV is right by there. You shouldn't miss this restaurant, but there normally arevery few spots and fewer chairs as rush hour comes along. Read more
