The layout and geographical location of the course are very good but on 2 holes the erosion from the creek is now a serious... problem affecting the play. This is natural erosion and has nothing to do with the way the course is maintained and I am notsure this can be fixed without major restructuration's and funding's which I am sure will be extremely costly (Hundred s ofthousand of dollars) should the course pursue this. This is a challenging course in the sense that a few yards off the roughand your ball is probably forever lost in the thick vegetation. Straight is imperative here. My handicap allows me to play fromthe back tees (blue) but I choose to play from the white as my experience is much more positive and enjoyable. The weekendplayer should also consider backing up one set of tee especially if you are not straight. I was quite disappointed on some ofthe holes like 16 where the bushes took over most of the hole. This used to be a beautiful par 3 with a bit of water in frontwith rocks around the water cut short and trimmed nicely. Now it looks like a bad maintained beard with out of control grow6+feet. Makes the hole look pretty bad, dirty, unmaintained. The 3 other people on my group said the same. Same for 18 alongthe water edge on left side of fairway the bushes are now starting to take over making it look unclean, unmaintained andunpleasant to the eye. There was nothing there before making the hole look crisp and sharp. There were a few other holes thatto me needed attention but it would go along the same way as 16 and 18. In all fairness to the course, this could be because ofenvironmental regulations as I am aware that more and more area are considered "sensitive areas" through government regulationseven on golf courses. The greens are excellent and fast as always and have great undulations for the extra challenge. As usualthe staff was very excellent even having a summer student clean your clubs at the turn. Not worth the money. They are charging just shy of $100 for a round with a cart. Sure they have some amenities such as a... complimentary driving range and a youth that cleans your clubs after 9. However Sand traps are not playable and are underconstruction. Hole 8 out of play with a temp par 3 hole as a sub. Fairways are mediocre. Ball washers were empty. Fairways werestill being cut at 10:00am and it seemed like every hole had a mower going which was really distracting. My suggestion is tolower the green fees until the course is in better shape. Won?t be back this year for sure Read more

John Greenough in the pro shop is an absolute gem. After being fit on the range by their Titleist Rep., Sam Wills, they not only... price matched Golf Town's pricing for my T200's but worked with me every step of the way from grips, to finding the exact Vokeywedges I needed when supply was short, to even finding me a bag that was hard to find which had the exactly club separationpattern I was looking for, all while staying in excellent communication. To top it off they included a free round of golf forusing them for the club purchase which was the cherry on top. Not to badmouth Golf Town, but if you're looking for anexperienced pro to help you out instead of part-time employees, definitely give John and the guys at Deer Valley Pro Shop acall! Read more

I am not a good golfer but came here for an event. The course is extremely beautiful tucked into the valley. The course has some... elevation for certain holes which you would only see out east or west. There is a nice range of holes starting as low as a par 3and up from there. The drink cart came fairly frequently and I had a German hot dog at the pro shop. It was a sausage withsauerkraut and was well worth trying! The course had good washrooms and the facilities of the pro shop were great. Honestly, agreat place even if you're not a great golfer. Read more

Course was beautiful scenery wise!! Terrible ran course. Called earlier this week asking if it was okay to bring toddler with... us. Proshop staff were extremely cold upon arrival. I felt court Marshall was rude. And constantly on our group to keep movingthough we were almost 2 full holes ahead of the group behind and only about 1/2 a hole behind the group in front of us. Will belast time attending this gold course. Read more

Played golf there on father's day with my son. Coarse is in phenomenal condition and a test of your ability. Quick beer and dog... in the lounge...incredible. The staff is top notch and the hot dogs (gourmet, I believe) are stellar. If you play golf you'vegot to head out to Deer Valley, you'll truly enjoy it. If you don't golf go there for one of the hot dogs..... I know that youwill definitely enjoy it. Read more
