I have been a long time customer of the restaurant but these latter years the only vegetable I am ever offered with the meals... are carrots and not of that high a quality. We are in an agriculture area of the province. Read more

We went here twice, once for breakfast and once for lunch. We had a great time both times. It?s quick, relatively cost-effective... food, with generous portions. The staff were all very friendly, we were there the day that the Rogers outage happened. One ofthe waitresses let us use her phone which was incredibly helpful. If you were stopping in deer Lake, or just passing throughlooking for a cheap meal, this is a great place for you. It is attached to a very large convenience store that has everythingyou need for the road, including hunting gear and some car equipment. Read more

Had supper there and my wife got wrong order. The waitress bought out grilled cheese sandwich when we ordered a cheeseburger... platter. The food was not very hot. By the time we got the cheeseburger we ordered for the child everybody else was finished andready too go.We never even got a cent off for the screw-up.Suppose too get ice cream with the child's order but never got it.Idon't complain much but even if they deducted the cost of the child's meal would have been fine. My last trip here i ordered the chef salad for the road. Gave a 20 percent tip cause you know.. deer lake irving is the best... bang for the buck and always so good. Down the highway 5 kms... i open the salad to find the whole salad could have fit in acustard cup. The tomatoes were slime amd no salad dressing . Ok so the price of everything has gone up , i get it. But rottentomatoes? And no salad dressing? This time passing through.. i placed the same order... asked for double everything .. .. 18bucks ... my mind was already made up.. no tip.. because i got ripped off last time. Also bought 2 pieces of coconut creampie.. 8 bucks Piece! The whole pie cost 10.00! So heres what a double chef salad looks like? Again had to go back for thedressing. I get it everything is gone up in price. Definitely expect you to put the price up.. thats acceptable... whats notacceptable is jacking the price AND decreasing the quantity. You obviously dont pay your staff enough... and you expect them tolive off tips.. but to expect gratuity for poor food, that falls on you not them. Shame on you for expecting a tip for take outservice... nobody should tip for something they havent had a chance to look at.. or a chance to taste. Shame on you. After 30years as a customer , im done Will never be back.. Read more

I was here for dinner and had the fisherman's brewis which was the daily special. The restaurant is nice and the staff were... friendly and sensitive and careful to the current environment. I wasn so impressed with the brewis and should have stayed withmy original decision of fish n chips. But I would go back again. Read more

This place is Big. Thus the name? Food, convenience, gas and sooooo much more. My father in law went to the WC and on the way... back he bought me a book. Surprise! The food was good although it did not come all at once. So more or less we watched eachothereat. Oh well. The poutine was not made with cheese curds but still good. The Thai chicken bites were savory but a wee bit dry.The liver and onions were sub-par. Fries were crinkle cut and average. Pea soup was thick and came with a bisquet. All in all itwas a place I would definitely choose again given the limited options in the area. Read more
