The local Dedham, MA restaurant is tucked away in a strip mall and I rarely see anyone there but me but the staff is always very... friendly, the kitchen is always meticulously clean and the food fresh. The Dedham Plaza doesn't even have the Subway sign ontheir street billboard out front which I find is a great disservice not only to the store but also themselves. Very disappointed in how far this location has fallen. It was never a 5 star store but was always run decently and you got the... product you paid for. Today I went in for 2 sandwiches. The first was more or less(less being the operative word) made to myrequest however the second was actually laughable. I asked for extra extra spinach and onion. He put on about 6 small slices ofonion and maybe that many leaves of spinach. After I asked him to add more he said he couldn't because of "the war making thingshard to get" the same excuse he used for the women behind me as to why she couldn't order gluten free bread. OK I understandeverything is more expensive I work in an industry that has been effected by the heavy inflation. So I said I am willing to payextra but would like my sandwich the way I ordered it. He said he would charge me for extra cheese then, which I agreed too. Hethen preceeded to add another 3 leaves of spinach and maybe 5 slices of onion. He rang it up as the 2$ extra cheese charge and Iactually laughed at the idiocy. I paid and left because the 2 Dollars was not worth my time to sit there and say anything aboutit. Figuring it was an off day or what not I looked at the reviews. Looks like this is the new norm for them and as such I willnot be returning. Health Department needs to shut this location down. Also, they scam. Ordered a turkey wrap - got 3 slices of turkey. WAY less meat than should be an any Subway sandwich. Poor service
