I'm a New Yorker at heart because I was born and raised there. But today I call Boston my home. I moved from N.Y. back in 96... first to the Cape then 6 yrs ago I moved north of the Cape to the Boston area. With that being said one thing I miss about NY isthe thin crust pizza. I've lived away from N.Y. since 96 and ever since I've always been on a quest to be able to find a goodquality pizza place. I'll be honest I've been rather disappointed with a lot of pizza places other than a few and Oakdale Pizzais one of the few that serves a really good pizza. It's not the super thin crust that I crave but from the homemade pizza doughto the sauce and even better is the quality of the mozzarella that they use makes this a great place to get pizza. Manydifferent styles of pizza to order from if you like it a little different than the norm. But pizza is only one part of theremenu because they offer quite a bit of items on the menu to choose from. There Italian cold cut subs are amazing super freshtasting and definitely not ordering a salad sandwich like most places do and you leave wondering why they don't put enough meaton the sandwich. My wife loves there chicken pita with fresh tomatoes, onions, feta, a type of Greek cheese sauce with supertender chicken on pita and my mother in law loves there steak stir fry. What makes Oakdale Pizza the best for me is that I don'thave to travel far from my house to go there for takeout or delivery if I'm feeling lazy let alone not worry about goinganywhere else on my quests to find good pizza. Delicious. I come here a lot, they have a lot of great things on the menu. I always get the Steak and Cheese or the Pizza but I... also like the Buffalo chicken wrap which is loaded. None of the portions are skimpy and the people who work there are awesome.Can't say enough good about this place. Seriously, check it out! Read more
