We have been through the drive-thru about four times since they have opened back up. The first two times were excellent, but... the last two times have been mediocre. We went through this evening (11/11/22), and we ordered 4 apple pies with our meals. They gave us 2, and the girl at the window told us "here's your food. Thank you". We counted the pies, and told her we onlyhad 2 of the 4 pies. She was kind of confused about that. It turns out the line crew didn't bother telling us or the windowgirl that they either needed to substitute the other apple pies with cherry or make more apple (which they would have had plentyof time while we waited in line). They were just going to let us drive off. The time before was almost a duplicate except theydidn't give us the pies at all, and the girl at the window told us they might be in the food boxes (which they weren't, and thatwould have been kind if gross). It took a while for the line crew to get their rears in gear to get our pies that this timewere already done. If you go through the drive-thru, make sure to look at your bags before you leave or you might have to turnaround or get charges for something you didn't get. Read more

Chicken Express is a good company for sure. The Decatur store has been closed since just about the tail end of Covid, I believe.... I met the founder and owner probably 10 years ago with a hunting friend who was a chicken vendor for Corporate Chicken Express. Nice people and it's a quality company. Naturally the local franchise owners/managers have a lot at stake to keep up withcorporate expectations and the issues with hiring employees. I can't imagine the training required, considering....I see thestore is getting renovations now. Hopefully they will re-open. The location is really poor with limited access. That can't help. Waited in line for over 15 mins. Watching some of the employees really chewing on some of the others, pretty sad, stopped... working on getting orders out, to chew out a coworker. The food is really good but service is not worth a flip. Read more
