This place has always been good, but tonight was a letdown all around. Indoor dining was closed, so we had to order at the... window. Waited at least twenty minutes to order because it looked like there were only a couple of employees working (this wasbetween 6:30-7 pm). No complaints against them, they were working very hard. Finally ordered and waited about ten more minutes.I ordered a scoop of orange sherbet and a scoop of blue moon in a dish. The wife ordered orange sherbet in a cone. It definitelywas not sherbet, but more like orange ice cream. And it looked and tasted like it had melted and then refrozen. It was gross.There were many chewy/hard pieces of sherbet that tasted freezer burned. The blue moon ice cream at least tasted somewhatnormal. For the price paid, the product was very subpar. I don't know if it's because they're using a new ice cream brand or ifis because their freezers went down two weeks ago, but it was the worst Hayloft I've had in the last 15 years I've been cominghere. Part of the fun is sitting in the dining room and the rest of the fun comes from ordering a huge bowl of great ice cream.Tonight's visit had none of that. Not sure when or if I'll be back. Read more
Love their sundaes. The variety is awesome. I had their pizza once many years back. It wasn?t good. Their ice cream on the... other hand is great. The kiddy raider is a banana split big enough for an adult. Every time I go here I can?t wait to go backand try something different. I can?t say enough about their ice cream. It?s a little on the pricey side but for the varietyand the amount you get it?s well worth it in my book! We were able to make it here on their last day of the season which wasLabor Day. I have loved this place since I was a kid. Anytime we are in the area, we stop and grab some ice cream. It's just a stones throw... away from Reits flea market so the entire day is a treat. Get the shortcake. It's to die for. Read more
They sell Sherman hard ice cream, which never fails to delight my family. Prices are a little high when you're buying for... five so we don't come often. They also serve burgers, sandwiches, pizza but we definitely come for the ice cream. Staff isyoung and they get busy, so service isn't always great, but they work hard. Read more
Only customers there. We still stood waiting for a little while. Ordered a banana split. No banana. Ordered a waffle cone and... still got a bowl, because "I couldn't get the ice cream in the cone." And their solution was to stick a broken half missingcone on top. Your prices don't reflect your service. Do better. Read more
