I had been hearing that Donnies had great pizza and I hadn't ever even tried it before so being the pizza pizzazz that I am... ,having worked in the pizza business for approximately 9 years give or take,I just had to give this place a try. When I orderedI thought the prices were a little steep for pizza, but still yet if it's excellent then it's worth it. 12in with 3 topping costabout $25.00 & that's not including tip. So when I arrived they said it was coming out and the place smelled fantastic so Icouldn't wait! They handed it over and when I got to the car I took a peek. Very disappointing ???? The cheese wasn't placedproperly so it was very minimal in the middle of the pizza, not to mention overcooked. You should always cheese outside in forportioning,, and because when you make the cuts it's always going to pull a little. The toppings tasted great minus the crunchycheese but the crust was what disappointed most. It was very thick which I'm good with if it's flaky,buttery or something butthis stuff was like trying to chew through drywall. It was terrible. I had to be the bearer of bad news but I did not enjoy thispizza in the least. Half went to the trash and that was me sharing with someone. I still gave 2 stars because the staff wasfriendly and the place looked and smelled great. Read more

First visit, not a good experience this evening. Ordered online and pickup was in 30 minutes. Once inside, received a warm... greeting at pickup at bar. Food came out freshly hot, boxed and bagged tightly. Got home, food taste fresh and hot. My lady goesto eat her Anna Pasta salad and what does she pull from her mouth...HAIR. Yes, about 4 inches in length, brownish/blonde. Thiswould've been a 4-5 experience, but this ruin the experience. Read more

Delicious pizza! We tried this place for the first time and got the Chicago style dough with the Scicilian specialty pizza and... was pleasantly surprised. Staff was very nice and I love the artwork displayed inside. Definitely has a good vibe! Read more
I have passed on this place a few time for lunch because parking can be a bit of a pain in the neck, but I finally mad it... inside. I was thrilled. It was totally worth dealing with the parking. The decor and music were eclectic and fun. The drinkselection looked wonderfully adventurous, but since I was there for lunch. The iced tea was pretty good. I had heard that theyhad good sandwiches. I heard right. I tried the bambino. A blend of I don't know how many different meats, stringy cheese andjust enough pizza sauce to bring the whole sandwich together. About halfway through the sandwich I was plenty full, but I gotgoal oriented and managed to finish it all. I then went back to work with a dopey smile on my face and a primal urge to lay idlyin the sun. I'll be back. When I can enjoy the beverage selection and when I am ready to tackle another amazing sandwich. Read more
The best pizza in Central IL. Very friendly staff as well. Cheesy garlic bread is delicious.
