I visited this waffle house around 5:15pm on 10/22/22. I looked at the menu in the window so I could decide what to get before I... went in. I chose the $5.25 breakfast special. I went inside & was greeted by an elderly female senior citizen behind thecounter. I told her I wanted the $5 breakfast special, the one that has the..." she cut me off and said, "how long has it beensince you was in here?! We ain't had no $5 special in YYEEAARRRRS!" I tried to finish my request, told her I just saw it on themenu outside. She snatched a menu off the counter, and began pointing to random meals, front & back & said I needed to bespecific. I again tried to tell her that the meal I wanted was a $5.25 breakfat meal & each time I tried to point to it, sheyanked the menu away & kept flipping it over, pointing to random items like I'm 5 years old. She snapped at me like I stole herpurse or something! She yelled in front of everybody, "You want this? This? That? I mean, you gotta tell me what you want!" Itold her if she'd let me show her....NOPE!!! She cut me off again and said, "What? What? Angus burger? What? Which one? Whatchoo want? I mean we have a lot of things that cost tbat! Tell me exactly what you want!" I said a big fat NEVVVERMIND, andwalked out. On my way out the only other employee I saw, a young male asked her what happened. She lied and said sarcastically," She didn't know what she wanted! So...." This lady needs a nap or a retirement, one of the 2. She was grouchy, mean,sarcastic, cantakerous, moody, just a GRUMP. If she's tired of being on her feet, she needs to leave the workforce or get someserious customer service skills. That is NO WAY to talk to anybody trying to order something. I will never order from thislocation again, nor will my company, my employees, my family nor friends, they've all heard about this incident, and areshocked. Roaches Roaches Roaches, they run this location like they own it. I was standing after placing my order saw 4 around the... register. Looked at counter saw two more. Cancel my order and left. Haven't ate here in ages but from what I recall it's one of the best WH's in the city. Great location, tends to alot of "broke... college kids" providing great nutritional breakfasts at a fraction of the price of IHOP which is a few feet down the road...Good southern people providing good southern hospitality.
