Highest soul food you will ever buy! Brought 2plates one oxtail plate was 36 dollars and a chicken chop dinner 20 dollars total... 62 dollars for two small normal plates that usually cost 12 to 15 a piece! My feelings was hurt paying 36 dollars for one plate!I won't go back! So if you go there you better have at least a 100 dollars bill. She tried to cheat me! Check your change and receipt!!! I went to this is it bbq tonight 20 minutes before closing they gave me... cold wings but that?s not the problem the problem is the lady intentionally cheated me wings were $22 I added one side to themeal and a drink she charged me $36.11 I said to myself wow how did it go up $14 so I asked for a receipt as soon as I did shechanged the price to $34.98 and gave me extra change back. She knew she did it that?s why she was so quick to change it and giveme my change I will not be returning here again and I advise everyone not to go and if you do check your change and receipt. My first time ever going here but the food was fairly good. They offer a main food item, 2 sides, dessert, and a drink. Even tho... you can make everything they have at home, you can honestly do that with every restaurant you go to. ???? A little suggestionfor this restaurant is to have a little more decoration. Ngl the visual is slightly boring and I like to feel comfortable wheneating. Not a big fan of leaving poor reviews, but I was really disappointed. Should have known when it was deserted in the middle of... the lunch rush. Really expensive for steam table buffet, especially when they don?t even have unsweet tea and carry only Pepsiproducts. Not particularly considerate staff and Restaurant needed Maintinence attention from management The fact they had asecurity guard at lunch probably should have been the warning I paid attention to. Do not eat here. They gave me undone food. The turkey was red and rubbery still because it was uncooked. They have a no refund... policy hidden on the wall to the side so that u can't get your money back. I was told it was done when it's not and to callcorporate who do not pick up calls. Run now, save yourself. Went here for the 1st time. Will never return. Read more
This is my go to soul food restaurant. They have a variety of dishes that are packed full of flavor. I usually get the grilled... salmon w/ sassy rice, Mac n cheese, green beans, and Texas toast. If you come here for lunch, they give you so much that you cansplit it into two meals! If you?re in the area and your soul food cravings are high, this is a must to try! Read more
Busy at time of arrival. I ordered online so the service was fast. Customer service was good. I did not receive my toast with my... meal. The food had a lot of flavor but unfortunately the only thing I enjoyed was the sides. The banana pudding was deliciousbut too sweet to my liking. The ribs taste good but were too tough to eat. Couldn't tear apart, could barely bite the meat, andhard to chew. Very good food but I recommend tenderizing the ribs a bit more. Read more
Banana pudding sure is delicious. I love the new recipe. All foods are always hot and fresh. I had the shrimp, broccoli cheese... casserole, black eye peas, and macaroni and cheese. And boy was it good. Will be back Read more
