I’ve been here three times. The food is always on point. I love the 24-hour braised pork. It is chopstick tender, melt in your... mouth goodness. The staff are warm and friendly. Read more

There is likely something for everyone between rice bowls, salads, and lunch plates at this casual dine-in restaurant. The fried... tofu is excellent and goes well with all offerings. Atmosphere is nice with a variety of Japanese treats and Japan-inspireddecor on display. I'd definitely come back for the fried tofu and it was a tasty stop after shopping at the nearby Petco.Radish was over-pickled but perhaps it was less fresh late in the day. The braised pork rice bowl and salad were too saucy formy taste, but perhaps we can request less sauce next time. Also not recommended for those in a rush. This is in between fastcasual and classic dine-in. Order and pay at the counter; food is brought to you. Pretty good overall-- I will be back to tryout the other menu items! Same for the ice cream shop in the same plaza. Pros: tasty Japanese fare, reasonable pricing, GREATtofu, casual atmosphere Cons: heavy on sauces, unbalancing flavor Read more

Very delicious and affordable! Love the thick soft bread. Plus a very cute shop with lovely Japanese snacks. The service is slow... as most places short-staffed now.. but people are very nice and friendly, so I still give 5 stars. I got a babo tea from theTEALEAF next door as well. Read more

There is parking available right by the restaurant but it does get busy during mealtimes. It is primarily indoor seating, but... there is one or two tables outside as well. The menu is small as it focuses on a few items. No alcoholic drinks but there isAsian speciality teas and sodas. Tenya chicken sando with fries: the sando is definitely filling, but the chicken is very hardto chew. The fries were really good though! Nice and crunchy and very flavorful. Japanese curry chicken rice bowl: not enoughcurry sauce, chicken is super chewy and hard to swallow. Very small amount of potatoes and carrots, plus the curry flavorisn’t in the vegetables either. Was pleasantly surprised by this place! The interior is so cute and aesthetic. The staff was very sweet, and as someone who has... worked for small restaurants, I was very happy to support the business. I ordered the Chicken curry (like Katsu Curry Rice butwith chicken instead of the usual pork), and it was perfect! A large portion of quality food for a great price in my opinion. Ialso recommend the peach sparkling water! They have a fun assortment of candies and drinks. Love to have such a wonderful littleplace so close to home! :) Will definitely be back soon. Read more

Love this place! The service and food are always spot on. All of the dishes I've tried have been delicious, but my favorite has... to the pork bowl; it's so incredibly tender and flavorful. Definitely a spot you have to check out! Read more

This was an absolute amazing lunch. The food was not only delicious but it was packaged beautifully. The soba noodles were... perfect. The sando along with the rice bowl was delicious. In a world of overpriced food, their pricing was very affordable. Iam not a fan of eating out however I will be returning to Tanya! Read more

Simple, clean and delicious. Stumbled upon this eatery, while in Decatur. Didn’t disappoint. Braised pork melts in your... mouth, rice is warm and perfectly cooked, slaw is balanced, the radish and cucumber play a good role all mixed in together. Lovetheir hot tea. Can’t wait to go back and try what else is on the menu. Owner is very welcoming. It was a great experience! Thanks! Read more
