I really don?t get the negative reviews I don?t know I?ve been here plenty of times . Yes the food is a little more expensive... but the food is soooooo good like Omg I?ve never had a burnt muffin like I?ve seen on one review or the food wasn?t seasonedright and I?ve been here on multiple occasions literally . And i am a very picky eater so If I like it it?s usually a hit and Iwouldn?t even bother driving 30 whole minutes when I have a soul food place right next to me the sides are so good and the ribsomgggg so juicy and tender I just don?t get the bad reviews really cause this is one of the best soul food spots honestly . This was my First Visit. Paid $14 for this plate. The food isn't good or seasoned.Turkey Wings AREN'T WELL COOKED. The yams were... entirely TOO SWEET. Collards believe ti be seasoned with Pork( I should have asked). It's DEFINITELY A NO for me. WASTED MONEY??? Read more
Don't buy anything. The food was HORRIBLE and the banana pudding was bananas and whip cream. Everything was salty and not worth... the time or money. I spoke with the owner and she was aware of all the bad reviews. She stated she stopped reading the reviewsand to each it's own. She said home made banana pudding is mad only on Sunday's. Edible but mediocre. I ordered from here because they have ?Mac and cheese casserole? so I thought it was going to be baked,... thick, cheesy goodness? it was watery, and unseasoned. Savory turkey wing was not cooked to perfection, very fatty with littlemeat. No gravy, and the rice underneath it was also unseasoned and wet. Wet with what? Because it wasn?t gravy ???? This soul food establishment offers the Best food there is ...The Town just Raves about it .. I had the pleasure of having an... Oxtail Meal that came with Yams and Greens my preference however they offer an Array of dishes from Smother Turkey WingsDressing Mac & Cheese Lima Beans Ribs Catfish Fried Chicken and this is just to name a few... so if your in the mood to haveyour Soul filled with a home cooking experience that would make u wanna slap yo momma ... Food doesn?t taste great and it?s burnt. I paid too much as it is and for food that doesn?t taste good?? I ordered via uber... eats. I received a call that there were out of what I ordered and asked what I wanted based off of the remaining options. I getmy food and it?s not even what I asked for after they called me. It?s food I can?t even eat right now. The greens are bland andthe Mac and the corn bread is just burnt. I can?t eat nothing on this plate. A waste of time and a waste of food that could havebeen better. I have heard bad reviews but I always try to give it a chance for myself but I feel like they gave me what theywanted to give me and disregarded what I?m actually wanting and paid for. The food is either over seasoned or under seasoned. The restaurant is nasty and out dated. When your service is food the care... and cleanliness of the restaurant should be top priority. However the customer service is good! I love the ladies reminds me ofmy grandma and aunts! Read more
