The food and baked goods are and have always been outstanding, however, the portions are too small for the price paid. I decided... to post this review when I saw my garden salad portion, which was ridiculous! Lettuce does cost much to have more in the salad;there were about 9 ?slim shavings? of carrots; 6 ?quarter slice? triangles and may 8-10 quarter ring of red onion slices. Thisis not a recent issue, but after an almost $64 bill including the tip for breakfast, I decided to finally express my thoughtsand feelings about this disparity. Although I enjoy the food at Southern Sweets, I will go elsewhere to get just as good foodquality but more quantity. I know it is hard to get good help for most businesses during this time, so I will simply say to keepseeking as I do the same in my business. Read more

Today me and my co-worker ordered lunch from Southern Sweets. I AM BEYOND EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!!!! I ordered the Little... Havana Cuban 10.75 Whole Only House baked ham and smoked pork tenderloin which sounded delicious. Boy was I in for a greatdisappointment. Where was the baked ham and smoked pork tenderloin???????? Not on my sandwich!!!! What I received was whatlooked like paper thin deli sliced meat that looked like turkey instead of pork tenderloin and what looked like deli sliced ham. This is not what I expected. 10.75 for this!!!! The sandwich was not worth the price and the quality and portion of meat wasdefinitely lacking. The pork was so thin I couldn't lift it from the bread to show how thin it is. I also ordered a slice ofKEYLIME cake which is my favorite flavor! Unbelievable, there was nothing about the cake or any indication by looking at it ortasting it that the cake was actually KEYLIME. Absolutely Nothing!!!!!!! I didn't taste even a hint of KEYLIME in the cake orin the icing. How can they pass off this cake as KEYLIME!!!!! CAN I TELL YOU, I AM BEYOND DISAPPOINTED, WELL I AM!!!!!! It was definitely a twist to some delicious breakfast. I had the shrimp and grits fixed away I've never had before and super... yummy. More than enough with toast and raspberry jelly omg! The almond butter cake too dry. Went back for a sandwich nahhh and apiece of caramel cake nah. I'll always remember the shrimp and grits very filling. I will try the breakfast burrito. Read more
Great place for a sweet treat & cuppa. They also offer other items as well, plus catering. Everyone was very nice and helpful. ... Great atmosphere to relax and just enjoy the day inside or outside patio. Gluten free Almond butter cream was nice a bit sweetwith a very mild almond flavor. Edit: so I?ve had their cakes several times and fell in love with them. Drove over two hours to get a few vegan slices for my... birthday. The mouse cakes were delicious but their vegan carrot cake and vegan coconut cake were so so dry. I was thrown backbecause I?m used to a nice moist cake. Paying almost $8 for a slice just to come home and not be able to eat it is heartbreaking. Idk if they had it standing for several days and it dried out or if they had overcooked the cake layers. Please makesure your cakes are fresh. I?m def gonna come back because I want to believe that it was a mistake because I know how good yourcakes can be. Best vegan cakes I have ever had. These are amazing and they have like 10 or more vegan cakes to choose from. Myfavorites are carrot and the coconut cakes. Read more
