Nice lunch with family and friends. Menu has changed a little recently, so there are a few old favorites that were missing, but... it was understandable in the current climate. The server Sayed was phenomenal. He was kind, attentive, and a polite gem. The food was delicious. The chicken and bean nachos... was fresh and seasoned well. I had the turkey pesto sandwich and it was soo good. Sayed was right, that pesto mayo was boss! Myhubby had the tuna melt and my daughter had the Buffalo tenders, which they enjoyed very much. We used to eat drink frequently at Melton's more than 20 years ago. We moved and did not go back until last Saturday when we... happen to drive by and decided to stop in for a bite and a beer. Long story short, it was a good call. Super friendly service,even the manager on duty checked in with us. It was like the 20 year gap never happened. We both had sandwiches which weredelicious. Extremely attentive and professional wait staff. The waiter had a trainee with him, which he did a great job instructing as he... took our order. Kept checking on us, the food was good, the pineapple cider draft was well carbonated and hit the spot. Pricedreasonably for what we received. Read more
1. Server was attentive. She knew when to give attention and when to pull away, thank you Kendra! 2. Food was great, staff... seems genuinely concerned about making sure you are NOT a burden or that it is an effort to serve you. (See my previous reviewof The Stratford) 3. The food was fresh, and as described and it tasted well. The fact they have options for nachos and howthey are made AND that they are friendly about making mods to the orders IS what makes customers happy. I definitely will comeback, to investigate the other food, no doubt about it. I?ve been grooming establishments for a regular spot after a long day,I think I may have found it. Very nice, cozy place to sit at the bar for a beer and a sandwich. Friendly, helpful staff. Ordered the Italian Hoagie and... Italian Beef sandwich. The Hoagie was fresh and quite tasty. My only complaint was the bread really didn't have the authentic NEHoagie crusty on the outside, soft on the inside. Consider something like white Publix sub roll. The Italian Beef bread wasbetter and it came out nice and hot, but honestly it lacked any special seasoning, kind of bland. Fries and side salad wereexcellent. We'll definitely be back but will try other things on the menu. Read more
We like this place. I will say that it used to be better before Covid. It is a staple neighborhood restaurant with beer and... wine. The chef?s salad is probably one of my favorite salads in the city. I have tried to recreate it at home so many times,but it?s just not the same. They cut down the menu since Covid, and there?s not as many options. The sandwiches and soups areall good. I do miss some items and the overall feel of the place. Read more
