Absolutely NOT! Liz, this is not it honey! I ordered a roti, curry goat, and fruit punch from this restaurant and the food was... terrible! The "roti" (that couldn't be roti) was hard and stale and the curry goat was so bland! The goat came with rice andbeans because there wasn't an option to order white rice, but regardless, the rice and beans was so dry and tasteless. The fruitpunch tasted like crayons so I ended up throwing out most of the food including the drink! The roti was so damn small and cost$5.00! I thought for that price, it would be a big roti, but NOPE...it was no bigger than a small burrito wrap. As a WestIndian person, I am so appalled at the quality of the food. Wow. No AC and No product No problem because I'm there for the oxtails and rice. A few drinks in the fridge and food display... counters were empty. Still No worries! As I'm waiting and pay the $20 for the tray I'm noticing no aromas or scents at all. So the food comes and I'm salivating because I WANT DEM oxtails and rice! WOW!!!!!! Now this is only me and everyonesexperience is not the same. What I got was not authentic, seasoned or FRESH. The cabbage appeared over cooked and discolored. The rice had bell peppers, corn and green beans??? Most disappointing was the oxtails. Somewhat meaty but had no taste, noseason, no LOVE added to them. So needless to say I didn't enjoy my meal but PLEASE don't let this stop you from going. Theindividuals there were pleasant and professional. Read more
Just left here. Usually go out of my way, not anymore. The customer service was HORRIBLE. I will never spend my money here... again. The first server was nasty. She kept asking my husband the same questions on his order with a major attitude. The chickenfor the roti looked stringy. I mentioned it, She said nothing. I asked the second server who rung us up to check it and sheopened it and said, you want it or not? They were the worst. Read more
my dhal puri was all puri & no dhal . i basically received just roti and i like roti but that wasn?t what i ordered . the... plantains and the curry sauce ? bland . overall flavors of the meal were disappointing . i?m giving two stars because it wasedible , competitively priced & the guy at the counter was pretty pleasant . Waited a long time for the food. Some of the blandest Caribbean food I have had in a while. The Mac and cheese was not baked,... the oxtail was tough and tasteless and the stew chicken was bland as well. $60 was way too much for no PLANTAINS! If I wasdining in, I would get a refund. Had to get checkers for dinner instead. Read more
Co-worker told about this place very disappointed, went there to buy Roti bought 4. They were expensive for one then I get hm... the skin is a lil hard and meat more like stew when it should be curried and don't have no kind of curry flavor but can tastenothing but pepper. When I told the Jamaican guy who took my order that I'm used to $6 & $7 Roti from Ali's in Brooklyn that Ihave yet to taste better he told me I would change of heart and I will be bk, sorry I wouldn't first and last time.
