This weekend I went to Leon?s with my godmother and had an amazing meal. We had a calm and informative server and I regret not... getting his name because I was struggling picking an entree which never happens and he picked for me. Everything looked so good,I wanted 3 different things. He was tall, slim with a small fro (So he can get a shoutout at work; I went 7/24 at 11:30a).Everything came out quickly and I am an honorary member of the clean plate club! Thank you! Beverage: I got the ?Rose Hotel?for a drink and it was light, fruity and refreshing..perfect brunch drink on a Sunday afternoon. Entree: My server picked myentree which was their Fish and Grits. It was amazing! Perfectly seasoned fish, perfect ratio with their creamy grits. And thatsauce! What was that sauce? It was sweet and savory, just *chef?s kiss* Dessert: So this wasn?t my favorite because the peacheswere throwing me off and the cake was a little dry but the cream on top made up for it. Had lunch here for the first time but it will not be the last. This location is in downtown Decatur. Nice restaurant with plenty... of indoor and outdoor seating. Leon's menu is limited but the food very good. Their burger and chicken sandwich is delicious.The fries come seasoned with your choice of 2 housemade sauces. Try the garlic aioli and jalapeño mayonnaise, good stuff. Ourserver Kat did an excellent job. 5 stars for sure. Read more
The food is good, but service was a tad bit slow. We had the Pappadews for an appetizer (pictured) and they were delicious. We... also had the Hanger steak and burger. The steak was good but I ordered medium and it was more medium rare. Overall its a quaintplace with a nice vibe and good food. Those small things are why I gave only 4 stars. Definitely try it! Came here today for drinks and appetizers before dinner. We parked in a lot that was about a block away from the restaurant... which wasn?t a bad walk, but still a walk. My fiancé loved the decor outside and we were instantly seated when we approachedthe door. We were seated at one table but moved to another by the waitress because it wasn?t the cleanest. My fiancé did havewhat looked like parsley in her water glass which was weird but understandable. We ordered two cocktails and both wereDELICIOUS! Will definitely be back for the drinks. We had the olives and the charcuterie board and both were greatchoices. We?ll definitely be back again to try more of the menu which was small but seemed well thought out with qualityoptions. Had dinner here last night and everything was awesome. It has been a while since I have been at a restaurant where every single... thing I had was delicious. Drinks, appetizers, entrée all delicious, flavorful, and fresh. We had the Bacon in A Glass,Peppadews, Hanger Steak, and The Grilled Chicken Skewers....DELICIOUS!!! The vibe and ambiance inside and outside was chill (mykind of place to go). Great customer service. LEON'S is the perfect restaurant for a date, hang out with friends, or even byyourself if you wanted to. I will definitely be returning soon! Read more
Hubby and I came here since he was eyeing this spot for a while and we wanted to grab dinner at a new spot. Located in the heart... of Decatur, the spot is super cute with the option of seating inside or outdoor which they have a nice patio! We ordered some oftheir speciality cocktails that were surprisingly delicious! Crafted beautifully. Beware, the menu isn?t vast but it?s punchywith some quality items. We got the bacon and peanut butter as an appetizer which ended up being super tasty. Our entrees, wegot the steak frites that we smashed. The horseradish on the fries were a bit strong for my liking but nonetheless, good. Thehighlight of this dinner was the dessert. The strawberry crumble, wow wow wow. Soooooooo good! We had a difficult time selecting entries but everything was delicious, the olives and the trout tatar appetizers, The seasonal... salad with butternut squash shavings and the grilled tofu. Cocktails were impressive. A delightful evening was had. Read more
