My aunt and I dined here for breakfast. We asked for cheese in our grits. We received our meal and there was no cheese in the... grits. We were told there was, it was in the middle, we stirred, we tasted, no cheese. We were told it wasn?t a lot of cheese.Question for staff? what would you do as the server or management? HINT, HINT? I would get the customer cheese, make sure theyhad water and fresh coffee. I will not dine at this location again. J. Christopher?s has been one of my favorites for years. Doyourself a favor and detour to Brookhaven, Roswell, Suwanee?Duluth? avoid Decatur. Read more

The food was good, the service was subpar. The African American waitress(who never introduced herself) treated me as an after... thought, but the customer who sat in the booth behind me was given great customer service. She even offered him a drink to go.She never did come back to my table after bringing me my check. I actually had to walk my check to Stephanie, who was in charge. Read more

Walking in, the waitress told us to have a seat anywhere so we sat in a booth next to a window. Every table has the silverware,... plates, and mugs already placed. The condiments on the table made me feel cluttered. The ambiance was fine besides that. Ourservice was average at best, nothing thrilling. The food was really good. I had a burger with an egg cooked to a perfectmedium. The grits were underwhelming to say the least. Doctored up with butter, salt, and pepper and still did no justice. Maybe add a little salt to the water would spruce them up a bit. My mother had a Route 66 and the server made sure to correctthe way in which she said the word. Turned off from that point forward. Overall, a decent experience that served it'spurpose. Read more

This is such a cute little place with all the brightly colored walls and nice staff. It's open for breakfast, brunch, and lunch.... They close at 2pm. I've only ever had breakfast foods here and they're always good. There are a few locations around the city sothere should be one anywhere you are. Read more

This is one of our favorite breakfast places in downtown Decatur. There is plenty of street parking which is conveniently... connected to the ParkMobile app. There is also a parking garage that is a short walk from the restaurant.  Management used tovalidate parking for this garage, but they stopped that a while back.  This location has ample indoor seating and about 10outdoor tables.  We sat outside today, as we usually do, to enjoy the morning weather.  Our server Stephani quickly checked onus and took our orders.  She has helped us a few other times we have come for breakfast and she is consistently friendly andattentive.  Stephani is a winner!!  Our food came out quickly. My ?Pantry?s Feast? looked a little sparse, but with the waffleI added it turned out to be just the right amount of food.  Wifey loved her Maple Toast with bacon.  The prices are veryreasonable too, this place will not break the bank.  The place is also dog friendly, there were at least 3 dogs sitting next totheir owners in the outside seating area. FYI, I don?t know their policy with bringing your four legged buddies inside. Overall, we really like J. Christopher?s and it is on the rotation for a return visit. Read more

I tried J. Christopher's before at the beginning of the pandemic in 2020 but you could only order to go so this time, I decided... to dine in. This location is convenient to Downtown Decatur. There was plenty of seating. The staff was nice. The grapefruitjuice I ordered didn't taste great. The food was average at best. The syrup was definitely needed to enhance the flavor of thewaffle. You can find a better tasting waffle anywhere in Atlanta (Decatur). Read more
